Which is better? 10 visitors = 10 page views or 5 visitors = 10 page views ?

    Depends. Why do you ask?

    More page views per visitor means something on your site is catching their attention, so that's a good thing.

    Then again... Is it better to have 10 potential customers or 5 potential customers?

    I would not stress myself over views and visitors, unless your are running a blog, where recurring (aka loyal visitors or membership sites) visitors are important. In this case, page views are more important. It means more people are browsing more pages in your site. They like you or think your content is great.

    But, the big question you have to ask, how do those visitors / views convert? By this, I mean how many of them took some action you wanted them to?

    For example, if you run an AdSense site, how many of these guys click on your AdSense ads and make you money? If you sell something on your site, how many of these visitors / views buy something from you?

    In short, you have to find out your conversion rate. As "undelicious" and boring as it might sound, you will want targetted traffic. And that matters so much more than "surface values" like visitors and views.

    5 visitors = 10 pageviews, that means the visitor won't get out of your site, after he have land to it, and it also means that you got the attention of the visitor.

    I would always work to have more unique visitors . At the same time , you have to work on your contents so as to make your visitors stay more on your site .

    It depends of the type of site, if it's review site or adsense site I would say 10 visitors are better as there is a chance they will click your link or ads.
