Poll: The Best Way for a Newbie to Get Their Feet Wet

For those out there "in the trenches", for whom being a newbie is a fond  memory:

What is the "best", quickest, easiest (notice I didn't say easy), simplest method for a newbie to have some quick success and get their feet wet?

If you haven't made a dime in IM....don't vote. Come back after you've gotten your feet wet.

I made my first sale using a combination of PPC and Review Pages.. but I would not recommend it to newbies because if you do not what you are doing, it is like throwing money into the drain.

I would recommend to go for article marketing. It is free and not as complicated as setting up an adwords campaign.

Article marketing worked for me (still does). But I'm a decent writer. There are so many things to choose, and all of them can work.

    Stick with your strengths.

Stand in the shower, worked for me...

      sorry, long day....

I would say adsense for pocket change...articles if you know how to have a product and get someone to read all the way through and click over to your offer

I still think eBay is the best way to learn different tools and actually make a little money in a week...

      Cheers,

        Cheers,

I agree 100%. This is an excellent way to get your feet wet because you will make money right away. Granted its not always as much as you would like right off the bat, but once you see the process working, its easier to become more determined and improve your business model.

I think a lot of affiliate marketing newbies get burned out because many times it may take months to get that first commission through trial and error, and by that point the majority have given up.

I started out on eBay with the intention of paying for my cell phone bill each month with the money I made. The first month I did that, the second month I paid a car payment, the third month I paid the car off.

Its also a great way to learn copywriting skills and how to test properly.

I'd start by taking a clickbank product that comes with affiliate tools--- buying a domain name (.info if you are on a thin shoestring) and doing article marketing to get traffic to the page.

I noticed blogging was not on the list. It is by far the easiest way to make money.

I would agree with Amy + Article Marketing. Combine the two and you have a pretty easy but powerful combo.
