Does this affect my site or even mean anything?

I notice when looking at my stats in my Google Analytics these two pages (/ and /index.html). Aren't these both my homepage and if it is two different ways on my site , does that affect my site in any way such as rank, traffic etc? Thanks.

Google will see / and index.html as duplicate content.

You should go into cpanel and redirect index.html to your domain /.

Could be that somewhere within your site you link to index.html instead of the main domain. Someone clicks on that link and goes to the index.html page which really is the same.

      It doesn't really matter.

You can also check these types of things and often tell Google how to treat your site here: www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
