Is this a wordpress site? This error could be do to a wide range of things. Its going to be server side and nothing related to the domain being expired.

If you have a fully managed server you might be able to contact them and see if they can find the problem.

Also did you make any recent changes to your site?

messed up your .htaccess file somehow? delete it or rename it for a bit, then
just put in a really simple index.html page and then see if that will come up.

Otherwise get a hold of your webhost and see what the issue is.

I don't know if you have Hostgator but I've experienced that error with hostgator so here's what to do if you have hostgator (look into this anyway).

I was setting up too many emails for my sites (like support@mysite.com). If I run too many of these at a time it uses a script that runs over capacity on a certain limit on my hostgator account.

If you have a lot of emails set up on your site, that could be it. Check that, but try to get some chat support from your host.

Cheers, it was the htaccess file.

I have edited it, and it was fine.

        Do you know what errors usually are on the htaccess file, which makes the site not work? {as i cant see what the error was}

The most common errors in .htaccess files are typos - spelling errors. 'RewiteEngine On' instead of 'RewriteEngine On', etc.

Second most common is attempting to use a command or directive in the file that isn't allowed. Trying to do a rewrite when mod_rewrite isn't available will cause a 500 error on many servers.

What about leaving blank spaces, at the end of the file?

so this space at the end of the file.,

      ---------------
      ---------------------------
      Redirect 302 /314
      Redirect 302 /46432

      --------------
      -------
      --------------------

      instead of this (no space)
      ------------------------------------------
      Redirect 302 /314
      Redirect 302 /46432

      --------------
      -------
      --------------------

I think I had some space before,
can the space cause an error?

No, whitespace won't cause an error.

But that's not an exact copy of what is in the file is it?

no, that is a copy of what was at the bottom.

I deleted that part, and Left the Rest the same... and the error was fixed.

that is why i asked was it the space as that is the only thing i changed, to solve it.

Well, glad you got it working. Obviously there was something about the blank lines that your server didn't like.
