DOI AWeber Form vs. Redirect to Affiliate Product - OPINIONS WANTED

Hi all-

Its been a little while since I last posted here. I've been chugging away at my sites and have seen significant gains so far. BUT, here's the dilemma:

Currently, I have my sites set up so that anyone who wants access to my affiliate offerings must join my Double OI Aweber list via form in order to gain access. By doing this, looking at the #s I am turning away ~60-70% of my visitors because they avoid forms or don't complete the email confirmation opt-in.

I've done enough reading to realize that most affiliate marketers succeed by growing their user list before worrying about cashing in on the affiliate offerings. I agree with this because who knows how long I can keep my Google rankings high & having a reliable opt-in list will never go away. However, if I'm currently making ~$40-50/day when I could be making $140-150/day I just wonder if I should continue on this same path. Am I panicking too early? I do have a great email followup/broadcast strategy and the right niche where people actually open the emails so I'm leaning towards staying the course because my list is growing.

Here's My Current Setup:

User --> Website --> User clicks on image to redirect to Form ---> Form integrated (First Name/Email only) / Also, if users doesn't click on image then a Lightbox appears 20 seconds after visiting site (Both lead to same offer) ---> Directions to confirm email is actually part of my site (I don't like AWeber's default as its not directive enough IMO) ---> Once they confirm email, they automatically get redirected to affiliate offer (this is explained to them within the confirm email to encourage joining --- I find it gets a much higher confirm rate if they know they'll get redirected to offer immediately) AND they get the followup Welcome email which also has links to the offer + Bonus offers (This seems to work well -- Get the offer in front of them 2x w/ something extra included)

For #s sake, I am getting ~30-40 new users joining my email list daily (all of my sites combined) depending on the time of year.

Any help or suggestions from people having similar dilemmas would be great. I was actually thinking of doing on on/off schedule (One day on/next off) with regards to using a form vs. auto-redirect to affiliate offer just to get an in between. Feel free to talk me out of it or change my strategies.

There was a great WSO that solves this problem. It garantees 100% click thru rates to you affiliate sales letter. It is called Auto Profit Machine.

    You can contact them here...

    support@theautoprofitsystem.com

Here is a demonstration of a squeeze page that uses this little system...

    Sample Squeeze Page

You will have to opt-in to see it work. It takes the place of your confirm message from Aweber. Here is what to look for in the demo...

When the visitor fills out the form on the squeeze page, instead of going to Aweber's Check your email and confirm message you will see a greeting telling you the gift will be in your email inbox and here is something else I would like to show you. (Something like that)

You will see if you do the demo. That message goes away in 3 or 4 seconds and sends the new subscriber to your affiliate product salesletter.

If They still want the free report or what ever you are giving them they still have to click on the confirm message to get the report.

If you are willing to give me a testimonial in a day or two, I will give you free access to my ReadySqueeze.com site where there are over 60 hosted squeeze pages that you can connect your autoresponder to in just a few minutes. You still build the list in your aWeber account and and I will deliver the Free report for you Branded with your affiliate links.

I also give you the first email message to copy and paste into your aWeber that delivers the download link to the free reports. There are many more squeeze pages like the example above in many different niches.

If you don't see a squeeze page in your niche, let me know and I will add one.

Remember, I need a testimonial for this free access...

    Beta Tester Invite

All the squeeze pages on this site are using the system in the example above and should really improve your sales. I almost forgot to tell you that the squeeze pages will be branded with your name as well as the reports. There are default products that pay 50% commission that are redirected to but you have control over the redirects and can redirect to any affiliate product you want.

I hope this has been helpful,

Maybe I'm missing something, have you tried single-option?

Single opt-in, to me, is always better because any time you add more steps to a process in the case of double opt-in, there are all kinds of things that can happen that will cause you to lose subscribers.

There are times when I opt-in to an aWeber form and have to wait over a half hour before the confirm email reaches my inbox. Another problem is that the confirm email could end up in the trash or junk files and the new subscriber never finds it.

So if this happens and you are not redirecting directly to a sales letter and instead allow an autoresponder confirm message to show, the entire process comes to a screaching halt.

But if the new subscriber is redirected in some way directly to a sales letter instead of the confirm message, the prospect is now involved in something that can make you income.

With my software none of the autoresponders redirect function because I do not allow the browser to control the redirects. So, none of my prospects see a confirm message from the autoresponder redirect.

My software removes many of the controls that the autoresponder company has over their clients. So I'm trying to standardize the process no matter, which autoresponder is used. So list building is getting more technical every day.

Yes definitely try single opt in, but if they are not putting in their email address at all then they probably aren't going to put in their credit card number and buy anything anyways. Everyone that visits your site is not necessarily a buyer.
