Question about location specific domains

Hi there folks!! I am currently working on a niche where the majority of the most searched terms are location specific....ie: dog trainer orlando florida. How is the best way to profit from these?

I'm thinking grab the .com; throw up a quick niche specific article; add adsense.

BUT isn't there another way that I can capitalize on this using the businesses that come up on google locations?

I know there has been posts about this before but I, for the life of me, can't find anything.

Thanks guys!!!!

I will often take those local searched terms and forward them to my clients site. For example doggroomingmytown.com to Harry'sDogGrooming.com

You could see if any local businesses would pay you to advertise there site on yours, simply get the niche site to page one, email the local businesses asking if they want an advertising slot and direct the traffic to them.

If your getting high rankings and out ranking them they may take you up on the offer or at least the smaller businesses in the area that dont even have a web presence might.
