SearchWiki distorting what I see?
I did.
What I see is still not what others see?
Here's the problem: (I may have to get a second computer to check serps?)
I do local seo.
I do seo for my own sites.
When I check to see how I did for improving my clients sites, Google is showing me what it thinks I want to see, not what my client's prospective customers are going to see.
I posted (boasted really) that I had the #1 spot for xxxx worldwide
not just in Frederick Maryland, not just in Maryland but worldwide
umm, got egg on my face
I'm #4 worldwide, which is nothing to sneeze at, but it's not the bold boast I made.
I did a search on digg.com for searchwiki and on reddit.com
(I just noticed that I did NOT search on google LOL) for searchwiki and how we're supposed to be able to turn it off in different browsers.
One guy suggested that we go to our igoogle page and chop off the end of the personalized url
Does any of this work or is it urban legend?
What must I do to see if I'm really number one, in the top ten?
If I kept pestering the WF with requests to double check my ranking, it'd make me look like a shameless self promotion idiot.
am I off base here?
anyone else having this trouble?
