21 must-read books for every intending entrepreneur- not for lazy people

I was surfing through my feeds and I came across this list from a fellow blogger who happens to be a warrior.

If you're an entrepreneur and you've not read this books, please drop what you're doing and read them! I've read around 19 or 20 of it and those lessons have defined my business life!

Here's the link:

Enjoy your day.

Yeah. It's cool when warriors share valuable tip.

Maybe that explains why you're successful. Readers they say are leaders and there is no doubting that.

All the books have improved my life. I love them.

I read somewhere on here that you're not supposed to give an exact price for Amazon items you promote - is that true? Great list though (I would add a bunch of Dan Kennedy's books to this list though...)

I would suggest that #15 should be replaced with "Multiple Streams of INTERNET Income" also by Robert Allen. He takes the concepts issued by the original book and really gears it to us Warriors....Definitely check it out!

Brian Tracy is awesome. I think he's the guy who was diagnosed with some disease and used the power of thinking to overcome it. Amazing stuff!!!

with all due respect, I think it is not a thoughtful list ... even biased

I counted at least 4 Kiyosaki books and no Michael Gerber?

No classics from Peter Drucker, Michael E. Porter, Tom Peters, Jay Levinson, Dale Carnegie and even Stephen R. Covey which I dislike could have been mentioned in even a single book but the list nails 4 Kiyosaki's

Not to mention the new economy specialists like Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin, Malcolm Gladwell, Clayton M. Christensen, Jim Collins, Steven D. Levitt, and IMHO even Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk or Dan Kennedy would have made any list specially for us Internet Marketers...

It's like putting up a top movie list and dont mention Gone with the wind , Casablanca and Citizen Kane
    :-(

If I read well, the guy said "21 books that helped him tremendously...". That's enough to satisfy your question. The books are the ones he has read and have helped him...not rules set in stone.

Of course I'm sure there're many more books but this writer only gives attention to those that have helped him. Simple! There's nothing to get angry and rant about here.

Hope you get my point? Why not recommend your list to him and see if he's gonna read it and pick lessons. Guess it's all about sharing and making life better. Your recommendations will sure go a long way in helping him and all others...

        Tim,

        Your thread is:

" 21 must-read books for every intending entrepreneur- not for lazy people"

        If it were
21 Books that have Helped Me Tremendously by Emmanuel Olonade

        I would certainly comment accordingly.

Not that the list is bad per se, to be fair they are all great books... at least the ones I know , but maybe the WF forum thread title was misleading to a new, intending entrepreneur

If it were a " MUST READ BOOKS FOR EVERY INTENDING ENTREPRENEUR" I would suggest a whole different ballgame. Michael Gerber and Guy Kawasaki to begin with

You see, that still remains your opinion. Check through the thread, many people have said how much they've enjoyed the books and that's great. I don't care as much again what you think. For me, those books are must-read. Simple!

The list is just 21 not 100 so you know the writer has got to put in the ones he has resonated with the most.

Moreover, no author is a god of anything. It's all their opinions...opinions and just opinions and nothing more. Richard Branson broke those "opinions" and we all know how succeseful he is today. What works for you might not work for others...what you like might be stuffs I don't like....get the point?

About half the books on that list were written by people
who made almost all their money selling books and at seminars.

For info-marketers, it's useful to know about the seminar
business... but many of those guys make most of their money
not doing what they teach, but teaching dubious basics
    to the naive.

Most of those guys aren't rich enough to continue their
lifestyles without cranking out more books and stumping on
    the seminar circuit.

Branson is an exception of course.

So is the absent Felix Dennis - who's written a couple of
books about how it's really done, the brutal, warts-n-all
    truth of it.

BTW - Napoleon Hill was destitute near the end of his life,
and alienated from his family. He was "rescued" by
    W. Clement Stone who employed Hill as a sales trainer for
his insurance business. Stone figured out the practical
application of Hill's philosophies for not only creating, but
keeping wealth... a secret which eluded even Hill.

Stone did in fact write his own book...

Since he actually heads his list "21 Books that have Helped Me Tremendously," I don't think it's fair to object to his list with books you think should have influenced him.

IMHO, I think that was crude and rude. Why bash another person's work just because you want to get yours noticed??? Your intent is clear.....

RESPECT IS RECIPROCAL and I think that's missing in your evaluation. If you don't agree with his list, why not SHUT UP and WALK OUT instead of splitting sh***t.

I'll consider you BAD for that single behaviour. Better use your thinking CAP next time you're protruding into things that don't concern you. ENOUGH!

I've read several of the books on the list, and I particularly enjoyed Multiple Streams of Income and Multiple Streams of Internet Income. Multiple Streams of Income definitely changed my life in that I have been trying to restructure my life so that I am not reliant on "the man" as my only source of income.

I'll be adding the other books to my future reading list.
