Becoming Successful is NEVER Easy

I find it interesting that a large percentage of people want to start a million dollar online business or become a marketing guru and imagine it will be easier compared to their regular 9 to 5 job. You will not find a magic bullet system that will enable you to become rich overnight, this backwards thinking unfortunately leads to them giving up.

Establishing a successful business online or offline requires patience, commitment, discipline, and strenuous research/effort. You need to have the mindset that this is not an easy road to take, you will have to treat this like a real job to succeed.

        It is reality for a small percentage of people who got lucky in some part(s) of their lives. Others have to work for it and hope for the best.

      I agree. You must get very lucky to succeed without work.

      Work in IM however is not as bad because you can choose which aspect of IM you would like to go into whether it is adsense sites, cpa, domain flipping, or offline marketing....

      It's also easy if you're EXTREMELY DEDICATED.

      I've found that the hardest part about IM is, like many things, just doing it. Therefore, my advice to anyone starting out would be to just read this forum for a few days, get a War Room membership and read and read and read the 5-star posts.

      Once you have a good feel for what seems legitimate and what you feel might be "unethical" etc, write up a plan and do it!

      Continue to learn as you go, don't be afraid to make mistakes and over-deliver as often as you can!

    You are definitely right. I always wander why people think it will be a walk in the park. If you are going to be entering into something that can allow you to have the freedom you deserve, why would you think that in a push of a button you will be come successful?

    Unfortunately, that's how most of newbies mindset are, which leads them to giving up faster than you can say income.

    Keep your head up. Find 1 method stick to it and take continuous action, you will succeed with the right mindset.

      This is so true. I think that's why a lot of businesses fail, because the owners were expecting it to turn successful much quicker than it did. But it does take a lot of hard work at perseverance, but isn't it worth it? It's challenging and offers so much flexibility to own your own business.

    Trouble is most people are allergic to hard work. Even myself at times I guess we all are from time to time, because you cannot see the results straight away.

    Ever heard the saying the harder you work the luckier you become.

    Well I guess that is a good piece of advice to add to the mix.

    Most people going into this industry think that money comes quickly because thats all you hear in so many website. It becomes a song and people start to believe. In some cases some people where in special situations that made them become successful, but there is def a learning curve one has to ride.

    If you like IM, then you have a better chance to make a go at it. Just like an offline business. If most of it is a chore, then one is not likely to generate top results. Sure, there are always exceptions, but when I look at any industry, those who manage to do well like what they do.

      IM is just another type of Business, It requires a substantial amount of work. However, many people seem to think that they can become the next 'Millionaire Guru' over night. These people are blinded from the truth and end up quitting when they have realised they have spent money on products that in actual fact have resulted in them becoming poorer.
      People need to realise that IM is just another Market in the World although there are plenty of opportunities, the competition is still fierce.

    Correct, its not easy to gain knowledge in any profession.It all has to do with "Knowledge" and in IM there is plenty to learn...Sure, patience, dedication, focus, but knowledge will top them all. At least, that's from my own experience. Luck? We create our luck as we progress.

    Very true. It takes a lot of hard work to get an online business up and running to a point where you are making a nice income every month. So many people look at the internet as this magic place where you can make millions overnight.

    That's why so many people fail when it comes to making money online. They have the wrong mentality. Can millions be made online? YES! But only if you put in the time and effort it takes to make that happen.
