I have just started writing these articles on squidoo and i was wondering how effective are they? for example do you need to put quite a few key words? or will they just attract people if they search for it?
Also i need to ask whether you think my site is decent or not My site here
Another question

    hi,
when you write articles, you need to mention keywords that you wish the searches would use in order to find your article. Place your keywords in the title of the article, upper part, middle and the bottom.

To make your article writing effective for you the main thing is identifying the keyword which is most used by customers to search for your product/ service. Then you need to write interesting articles with a keyword density of 2.5% - 5%. The keywords should be used in a way that the sentence makes sense rather than just adding keywords haphazardly. This needs to be done regularly to get results. One easy fix to learning to do this is to read what your competitors are writing and write the same in your own words

    All the best!

First of all, 2.5-5% will likely get you banned from Squidoo for spamming and it will likely get your work de-indexed by Google for keyword spamming. You need around 1-2% keyword density.

Really though, you can't worry so much about that. Instead, just focus on writing the best articles you can write. I find that the keywords usually come naturally when I do it that way anyway. If they don't, you can always try to find places to put them later on.

In all cases though, don't take such awful advice as to do 5% KW density. Only spammers who don't know anything about search engine rankings do that.

The cheapest way to find good keywords to use is with the Google Adwords tool. It's free. Just enter a keyword that sounds good to you and it will spit out a list of possibilities with competition levels and monthly searches. While it's not perfect (which is why professional keyword research tools abound on the web), it's pretty good and certainly good enough for getting started. Just search on Google for it.

Regarding your site, it's nice and clean which is good. However, I'm kind of put off by the huge amount of white space after the title. Also, I'd love to see some pictures as well. Finally, go easy on the exclamation points. It's a very common tactic for non writers to use exclamation points on almost everything they write because they think it makes their stuff more exciting. It's actually just a huge turn off though and looks amateurish. Here for example, you use them four times in five lines (plus, two lines have no punctuation while the others do, which also looks bad):

    Beta 1.5 news!
    • New weather features! snow, lightning, rain!
    • Snow shall relay, rain shall fill in small holes with water
    • Thunder shall have a small chance of breaking blocks and starting fires
    • More in the news section!
Best of luck. I hope that helps.

My suggestions is, if you are really serious about building online business, it would be better to build it on your own domain rather than on free hosting. Better you work for your own on your domain (write article on your blog or site). Although you can use squidoo and free blogs to build link popularity.

My suggestion would be use your keyword in title, a couple of times in the first 60 words of the article then a few places within the body providing it works naturally - thats the key - the keys words must flow with the article

What are you trying to achieve with your article?

If you are trying to get it to rank in the serps you will need to use some on-page SEO; try to get your keywords into the title, the first sentence and the last paragraph or sentence. Also scattered the keyword in throughout the article where it makes sense to increase the density.

You will also need to build some backlinks if your keyword search terms has some competition. Type in your keyword into google and see what the websites are like on the first page and how many backlinks they have.

Alternatively; you can not worry too much about SEO and write the best articles you can. To see about getting them syndicated or promote those articles yourself with other methods. Like social media, Q&A sites, , forums, other articles etc

It all depends what you want to achieve with your article really.

Here's a tip...if you have a subscriber list you regularly submit emails to -turn those emails into blog entries or article submissions.

You might have to expand your subject a bit, but then you will have an article worthy of reading and indexable through the search engines.

Frankly, don't worry about being keyword heavy...just write the article.

You will get better at writing the more you do it. Trust me - I have written over 200 articles and then submitted them to various ezines and blogs.

        Great way to build backlinks.
