the google farmer update must have really dealth a huge blow on eza traffic to the extent they decide to change their style to a blog instead of a directory. well may be this will be enough to deceive google and make them rank better in se.

whats your say on this change

To see a company of that size, acting in such an obviously desperate manner, is actually quite sad.

How is it sad? It's called 'adapt or die'. The hit by Google has forced them to improve, which is exactly what they've done, how on earth is that sad?

The pages my articles are on are still the same as before lol.

I can see the homepage has changed though.

          Exactly my point.

If the layout of the article-pages themselves had changed (especially in the same way that the other pages have), then it might potentially have been significant to those who actually use EZA for "bum marketing", are looking to maximise their CTR and/or who otherwise rely quite heavily on EZA-referred traffic. But since they're the same, it really means nothing. (And since I only really put my articles there to "showcase" them and leverage EZA's ability to facilitate the syndication/republication of them across other sites, it wouldn't be such a big deal to me, personally, anyway).

          p.s. Nice duck!

I was just about to say "I like it - the ads are far less intrusive", but then I realised that the change only appears to have been implemented on their non-article pages - i.e., it looks only to be on their homepage, article-listing pages, etc., rather than on the article-pages themselves (at least for now?).

In other words, "big deal", since it's unlikely to lower ad-based distractions and thus effect positively (from an authors' perspective) the potential CTR one could hope to get on one's resource-box links (not that I personally care much for EZA-referred traffic, anyway: that isn't why I submit my articles there).
