Why is it that when a product is launched, some people complain it's too basic? Some marketers actually do reasearch, and they know that not everybody woke up one morning and were instantly a person who knew how to do everything.

They know that by not missing out the basic information, they will get a buyer for a long time.

Think about it for a moment, what don't you know and what would you buy to teach you that information.

Take scripts for a moment, I know nothing about programming. I don't want to buy a book which assumes I know programming languages, because that isn't going to help me at all. If I find a course or book which starts at the very beginning, then I am more likely to buy the next one in the series and the next.

Why do you think offline, there are book teaching different levels. Once you finish the basics you move to the intermediate and then to the advanced.

When someone says they want to learn, guess what you'll recommend, the books that helped you.

Just because you are not in the beginners stage, remember what it was like for you. Follow a course step by step and see why the marketer does that.

There is silver in watching what they do. But there is gold in understanding why they do things.

Most people that complain something is too basic should have been busy using their knowledge to make money rather than buying another info product looking for shortcuts.

Gee, wouldn't that cause a lot of people here, LIKE YOU, to lose a lot of income!?!? BESIDES, you don't realize something is SO simple until you get it! I have seen OLD OBSOLETE WORTHLESS GARBAGE marketed as the newest secret info you can't do without! MOST of the buyers aren't looking for shortcuts SOME can use, but products that live up to a promise FOR THEM given TO THEM!

Good point. I wanted to say the same, but since you have done such a great job, I will only basically second your post.

For the most part I have to agree with Bev...

Providing that the product wasn't put to market claiming it was something else..

If a product says it will show the steps to do A,B, and C... then the most basic of formula's for getting there is just what is required...

The basics can sometimes be overshadowed by bells and whistles.. when really the bells and whistles will get in the way of the person looking for answers to very basic questions

less is more... most people dont bother with something when its too complicated or too long to read.

don't fret the whiners...there's another million people online that need and want your help.

              ............next

              ;-)

I love Eban's "NO HOSERS" clause...I think complaining and whining customers have a need for a completely different type of product...one that helps them fix their frames of reality.

In that case they should be complaining about the salesletter lying, and ask for a refund.
