Free WSO To Build List? Anyone Done This Before?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone here has ever tried doing a free WSO in exchange for an opt-in.

If so, how many people opted in per bump? Also, were you able to monazite the list (was it worth it in terms of ROI)?

Many people do this almost every day. You still have to sell it with the sales page, but a couple of creators I've talked to have gotten 45-60 per bump.

yeah 40 - 60 per bump was my usual by freebie seekers
are freebie seekers. Much better to charge $1 or $5 just
to make sure you get buyers.

I pulled in several thousand from $1 offers onto my list
and now my list is strong cuz it's almost all buyers.

You will get loads of optin from a free wso but with some freebie seekers even before they recieve any followups, they will unsubscribe instantly after they recieve the download. Though I suggest selling a good quality WSO and build a list from that. These are buyers, and so potentialy will buy your products in future.

Hey Justin, I like your strategy. I haven't thought in this way. 100 buyers are more powerful than 1000 freebie seeker.

Dumb question, but how many bumps did it take you to get to thousands of buyers at only $1?

The reason I'm asking is that my WSO is currently $11, but as the price has increased, my conversions have dropped sharply. When it was at $3 it was going around 20%...

I have used free WSOs to build my list - in fact it was a fantastic way to build my list when I first started and was completely unknown. My first WSO gave me 100+ subscribers with one bump, so it was a great starting point and well worth the price. And yeah you get freebie seekers who unsubscribe right away, but those first people on my list also became many of my first buyers. I do think it's good to experiment with the $1 offer as mentioned above. I am planning to do this myself and can see why it's valuable. But just don't discount the freebie seekers either. Depending on what you offer, you can turn many into buyers.

The last free WSO I did got 221 subscribers and made $35 from my OTO... So I got 200 + subs for $5

Very Much Worth IT! Low Priced WSO's are good too once you build a list and can promote it to them (keeps you from going "in the hole")...

    Good Luck

Most Probably These Free WSO's will help to gain some initial subscribers. One of my friend already did this and got a good response.Even freebie seekers will give you ROI through their returning visits and clicking ads when they found something useful. This is great idea.

Yes, this works. Here's another idea for building your list of buyers...

Run your WSO through Warrior Plus, charge a low amount ($5-$10 seems ideal) and set it to 100% commissions. It has to be a good product, and obviously you won't make any profits, but you'll likely get some affiliates to promote it. Every single buyer can go on your list. It can be the difference between getting maybe 50 freebie seekers (from a free WSO you run) for $40 vs. getting 100+ buyers for about $60 (WSO + Warrior Plus). No contest there. More buyers for not much more money spent is FTW!
