Can you 'hide' likes for a 'Fan' page?

by InternetSuccess001 4 replies
Hi,

Have a bit of a situation. Recently found out that someone is going through one of my fan pages, and contacting everyone listed in the fan page for my business.

Is there a way to 'hide' the likes?

Thanks,

John

I don't think so. Really nothing you can do about that except warn the people on your fan list.

There's only 1 way a non-admin can know who has liked your page. This is by using the search feature. If a non-admin views your page, there is no link for him/her to display the fans list. But if your page shows up in the Facebook search results, your fans list can easily be displayed and accessed.

There is really nothing you can do about it. The spammer is probably using some blackhat software to mass contact your fans list.

Ahhh... thanks! Ok, I appreciate that. I just checked, and it seems you are right. Makes me feel a bit better.

I believe what they are then doing then (because I can 'see' this) -- is simply contacting those people who have posted comments on my facebook page. (Because I have a very active page).

      Thanks,

      John

That must be it then. If you have an active page, someone somewhere is bound to try to take advantage.

        Cheers,
