Hi guys
Im just about to finish setting up my squeeze page thanks to someone here on the forum . I plan to give away a free ebook i authored in return for emails of course. I then plan to "befriend" my list by sending them all kinds of emails no sales for like the first 20+ emails...Im in the video game niche by the way, specifically pro video gaming. But im scratching my head as what to send them, thing is that i want to set up an auto responder with aweber but if im doing things like game reviews for example...What if dudes come in and subscribe like 6 months after the release of a game? I might be pointless. Thats the only thing im worried about...I thought maybe i could just send them links to videos on you tube etc. BUt then again that would be kind of boring after the first few vids. So basically am i going to have to email out my reviews to current subscribers on a daily basis or is there a way to work with aweber on this. p.s. should i also set up a blog and have the blog/the squeeze page/the email list all working together or simply just have the squeeze and the email. hope this all makes sense im in a hurry to get to work...pffft work.... Thanks in advance |

Have you considered having your newsletter focused on how to get good video game deals? You could review services like gamefly too. These wouldn't be time specific.
As far as sending out a review on a new game, you could use broadcasts for that. I wouldn't suggest waiting 20 emails to sell, that's a bit long in my opinion. Plus, if you are promoting a game on amazon or something, i bet people won't even realize you are selling to them ![]() Matt |

Do you have any specific games targeted?
Since your in the pro gaming niche and I was there at some point, I recommend giving them strategies and stuff. Ex: I made a few $$ by sending free strategies to counter-strike players that wanted to pro and stuff...since I was a pro player myself and participated in alot of international competitions it was easy to give them some free advice and then direct them to a an counter-strike strategy ebook. You could try to interview some of the well known players in different games and send them that. |

Yea, 20 emails is way to long. You do not want to email them something everyday, even that would take 20 days, 20 days for a sale??
All your emails in your autoresponder should not be "time" specific. But emails should relate to your site. In this niche you could offer wholesale/discounted pricing on to your subscribers (that way you prequalified them for a purchase), and then send them to places that you are an affiliate with that sells games at a lower price anywhere else. OR even carry games yourself and sell them at discounted prices. You can usually find wholesale lots of used and NEW games on ebay, and all over the net (this works good if you have the cash to spend for them). Another thing, if you are targeting the "pro" gamer, is you can compile a directory of every place out there (or near every place), that offers at home game testing, or game testing in their area. There are actual products out there for this, you may want to invest in one, see if its any good, or if you DO ACTUALLY know where to get into the pro gaming field, then you can sell your own product, and make more money (and maybe even recruit some affiliates). Here is another reason why you do not want to wait 20 emails. The most common thing in sales, is that it takes about 5 - 7 times before a customer will buy. So he/she will see a product he/she wants, and usually will not buy it until they have researched/seen something about it about 5 - 7 times. So if you do not offer them something until the 20th email, you will still on average have to send it to them 5 - 7 more times, before they buy. So thats, 27 emails. Hope this all helps. --Jeff |

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Ill figure it out, i usually do. I have no specific games targeted at the moment, but will most likely focus more on the pro games like counter strike etc. Strategy guides are a good idea i guess. But i mean say you where receiving emails from someone what would you like to receive as far as free info goes? |

Just another quickie.
Would it be a good idea to setup a blog along side my squeeze page? |
