I have a handful of articles spread out to various directory sites would I be able to take the same article and use hubpages or something like that to direct to my site?

Yes,but you should spin it first and submit a different spun version to each directory and 2.0 property.Use the Best Spinner,it works well.

I agree with Steven totally. You need to spin the articles well (75% unique) before submitting them to other sites.

Article sites are really cracking down on duplicate content and word count due to the recent Google slap.

You can do it for sure. I used to do it quite a bit, but lately I've been providing unique content everywhere.

One more thing is to group them logically - rewrite the content or spin it, and then make pages with them grouped by topic - that will help you get found on those sites too.

Yip, you will find this is a common strategy used by many IM's. As was mentioned above though, it would be a good idea to spin the content if you can.

  • As long as the article is unique when you submit it to the directory you can use your article any place you want. However Google penalizes websites with duplicate content in the form of decreased rankings. So it's in your best interest to rewrite the article before using it any place else.

But to answer your original question, yes you're allowed to. It's just not the best way to increase rankings.

There's nothing wrong with re-purposing content, but to save yourself a lot of time and money, be very strategic with where you post your content. The question should always be "Will my readers find this content valuable enough so that they would want more?"

You have a choice of either going for just links or for qualified leads, which do you think will make you more money?

unique content in strategic places is always better long term.

You should spin your articles to different articles directory, then make use of the article to do slides, video & prodcast and submit them. You will see results.
