One Realization All Warriors Should Make...and Thank You!
As I write this, I have just finished two finals (8 hours of testing in civil engineering), so bear with me
I am still relatively new to the IM game, only finding out about IM about 7 months ago, and becoming active on this forum in August. Although I am new, I know that this is what I want to do with my life. I absolutely love the entrepenuerial possibilities that are available to anyone who has the guts and gusto to think big and chase a dream.
While I am still only slightly profitable in IM, I just recently launched my product (revamped), and just Know I'm on the verge of being successful with this project (after about 3 months working on it), but I'm getting off topic.
The reason I'm posting is because I had a realization. While studying for these finals, I told some of my fellow civil engineers that I was switching my major, only about 5 courses shy of getting my degree. I'm switching my major simply to graduate 1 semester faster because school is doing nothing but taking up my valuable time to pursue my business endevours.
When I told them this news, their faces looked blank and confused.
"Huh? What? What will you do with your life?" they said.
"I'm getting really into marketing" I said, trying to figure out a way to describe this to normal people. That went over well...haha. I might as well have been speaking Martian at that point. Nothing could possibly penetrate the image of "what life should be" that is planted in these kids brains.
Grow up, go to school, go to college, get a degree, do that job and increase your salary 5% a year for the best 30 years of your life, retire (hopefully) so that now, at 70, you can do the things you've wanted to do all your life.
Thanks, but no thanks.
This made me realize just how much my mindset has changed in the recent 6 months. Much of it was done on my own, reading books and all the information I could get my hands on. But, so much of it is due to you warriors, and this is where my thank you comes in.
Thank you all. Thank you all just for being who you are and allowing me the oppurtunity to glimpse into your lives on a daily basis. Your consistent presence has allowed me to fully embrace my dreams, because I know like I know like I know that it is possible/enevitable that I succeed. Your presence has helped me to never waver in this pursuit, and for that I'm truly grateful.
Here's the realization that all Warriors need to make, and I'm sure many of you already have. Not only does this wonderful internet provide us all a means to make more money, spend more time with our families, travel more, do more, have more, and live more, but it gives us the ultimate power.
The knowledge, better yet, wisdom available to all of us because of places like the warrior forum is priceless. The ability for any joe shmoe to share information with the smartest and most inovative minds in the game is just incredible when you think about it.
Imagine if any commoner could have been taught physics by Einstein, or meditation by the Maharishi, or battle tactics by Sun Tzu. I'm sure they would have been truly grateful and humbled by the experience.
We have this experience right here and now, completely for free and available to everyone!
So for anyone struggling, make this realization and keep on going. It is inevitable that you will succeed as long as you keep this realization in mind, avoid focusing on any negatives, and take action on your dreams.
To anyone who's a success, realize that your continued participation in this forum is so valuable to this world, even if you are making posts which do not specifically contain "IM nuggets of gold".
And just to bring an end to this rant, I want to give another thank you! If there's one fool-proof way to make money on the internet, it's by putting yourself out there, knowing its possible, and never giving up.
Regards,
Noah Tyrrell
