An Interesting Thought
I was thinking about the potential of selling it in about 2 years, with a ridiculously large price tag, if it keeps growing at the same rate.
Then I started thinking about selling authority sites. I was wondering if someone spent an entire year on just 8 websites (or less depending on how much time that you have). Imagine posting content to these websites 5 days a week. By the end of the year you'd have 260 posts per website, probably a boat load of traffic, and if monetized correctly you'd certainly have a decent amount of money coming in. Now imagine selling all of them, in one shot. I know there are a lot of people who would say, why not keep them, but this is all just a pretend scenario. Say that you wanted to buy a house or something.
How difficult do you think it would be to make $100,000 a year building and selling authority sites of this level, if say, you sold each site for around $10k-$15k.
I honestly don't know much about flipping websites so I'm not even sure that this would work. I'm just a bit curious, as I know that a lot of people who flip websites try to build them and flip them off with no more than about 20 pages of content.
I also understand that there are a lot of different variables calculated into how much a website is actually worth. Regardless, I imagine you'd get a ton more money for a website with an aged domain, over 200 pages of unique content, and a good amount of backlinks than you would for a website with a 1 month old domain with only 20 pages of unique content, few backlinks, and little traffic.
I'm just wondering if experienced website flippers would think that this would work.
