How to use a Forum template on SBI site

But to answer your question about adding a forum -

Yes you can. Site Build It has a module called Infin It!, which allows you to incorporate just about anything you want on your site. There are numerous SBIers who have attached forums to their SBI site using that module as well as ecommerce platforms, etc.

It's kind of a match made in heaven because SBI is so good at building and generating traffic, you can encapsulate the other into your site and benefit from the traffic. (Instead of having a completely separate site and having to build traffic, etc.)

Again, you should get advice from SBIers who've been there/done that to really get a good idea on what you're looking at. You want to be aware of what the plusses/minuses are before undertaking your project.

One downside to starting your own forum that I know of: you have to do a lot of manual labor to get it going. It's like a baby that has to be monitored extensively or else you'll end up with a spam-fest full of Viagra ads, which will actually repel visitors.

And just so you know, there is a specific Infin It! forum at SBI, which has lots of posts, but if you don't find answers already posted, feel free to start a thread.
