How to improve my site?

First off, congrats for getting something up and asking for advice. I think that takes guts as although I have some sites up I have never asked for advice.

I take it you're running joomla under the covers, so I'll be blunt and say its gonna be tough. The first thing you want to do right away is get an autoresponder and place it in your side bar. Sure you can use the login for joomla members, but you can't setup a sequence easily or seperate them into seperate campaigns. You're giving away a book, but there's not the normal "SIGN UP" here. Take a look at some guru pages to get an idea. Plus, I'd put a squeeze page somewhere seperate from your posts like yourdomain.com/invite.htm or something like this.

The second thing is that its too much for me. There is nothing that has me want-to-buy because I can casually go from post to post and nothing really hooks me. So you'll have to work on your USP, which again should be in your squeeze page. Why should I be going to your site rather than some competitor? What have you got over the competition?

Just a quirk, but rename your "Administrator" to something you're going to brand, like your real name. Since no one knows you, its good to start branding yourself.

Remove the forum until you have a list. Its bad when you have 0 posts and you're going to moderate who? Focus on stuff that's going to make you money, not burn your time.

I'd get some PLR material and rebrand them as your own as "goodies" for your tips&tricks (which can also be in your squeeze page)
