What Hosting Is Best

Hi,

I'm in need of new hosts, Ive heard good things about HostGator so I'm thinking i'll go with them unless their is a reason not too?.

At the moment I have a resellers account with my current (BAD) hosts, should I also get a resellers package from the new hosts?, what do you all have set up?, is it even a good idea to get a resellers account?.

I use 000webhost.com

It's free...

And they have great service and high uptime...

Not good if you pplan on hosting files that exceed 1.5GB total because that's all they would allow on their free offer...

But it's great nonetheless...

My site www.getmoneyonthenet.com is hosted on 000webhost.com...

I now use hostgator and have nothing but great things to say about their customer service and dedication to their customers.

I would also say though - STAY CLEAR of GoDaddy. I have had nothing but problems with them

I've heard good things about Hostgator, so they're probably a good choice. In my own experience, I've had the best luck with GoDaddy. Too many hosting companies don't have 24/7 live support, and GoDaddy does. I had to call them once well after midnight and got the help I needed and my issue resolved in probably 10 minutes or less.

What are you planning on doing?

If you want to have multiple domains (or will in the future) then I'd definitely go with a reseller's account.

You don't need to be reselling accounts to have one. It just makes the most sense if you are going to be managing multiple domains yourself.

  Vervehosting, and they are not too great to be honest, ive had a support ticket open for about 4 days straight now!, not even Macys stays open that long!!.

  The host you choose is going to depend a lot on what your needs are.
  
  For example, if you're just throwing up a squeeze page, sales page and a
  product download, the host you choose is not going to be as critical as if
  your needs revolved around putting up a site with hundreds of large videos
  taking up tons of disk space and possible bandwidth, should you get a lot
  of traffic.
  
  Whatever host you decide on, ask what packages they have. Look at your
  own needs and see what package will best serve you. Last thing you want
  is to do a product launch and you run out of bandwidth in 10 minutes.

4 days is unacceptable. Before you cancel with them get your new host to move your sites over. Most will do this for free.
