Well you did it! Post on the WF! hahahaa

    1. I would research on areas on this forum. Why not watch the videos to start. Learn how much it cost for this and that.
    2. Buy a WSO. Free ones will do too, but get a WSO that's highly recommended by some guru.
    3. Start actively posting questions, feedback, etc and learn as much as you can.
    4. Get an aweber account for $1 and learn how to work an auto-responder
    5. Get a web hosting acct at host gator for a penny and learn how to install Word Press
    6. Get some screen recording software preferably camtasia or go with the free ones too and just record for the sake of recording.

Research and learn. What are your interests and skills? Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss them. There are LOTS of different ways to monetize your various talents. Everything you need is here on the WF. Check out reputable WSOs and IMPLEMENT what you'll learn. Taking action is the most important thing, bar none. Once you've learned something, put it to money making use for you!

Consider starting up a blog or website related to your interests, and learn how to work an autoresponder like AWeber or GetResponse so you can stay in touch with your readers/customers.

Market your services here on the WF through a WSO or classified ad. Like to write, do SEO, got customer service experience? All of those things can make you $$ if you leverage them properly. Good luck!

Learn and earn, learn and earn.

Great advice! I've been reading the posts here for about a week! And have learned so much! Don't get overwhelmed! Have a notebook nearby to write down ideas to implement (still working on this....my 14 month old tries to steal all of my notebooks!). If you see a great idea stop and work on implementing it now...you will forget later!

    Good luck!

I start each day with some freewriting in my digital "journal" while my coffee is brewing - before I even check my overnight e-mail or get the latest gloom-and-doom from the media. Some days I might add to it several times throughout the day.

I've adopted two techniques that are actually better than bookmarks - I e-mail the link to myself then later copy it to an HTML file, or save the page to disk in appropriate folders/directories.

Welcome to the warrior forum MNT...and LOL Andy. It is true that posting your first thread in the warrior forum is a big important first step on the ladder to online success.

MNT - the best advice I can give you is to read the threads listed by Tina, learn all you can BEFORE you buy anything. This forum is a wealth of knowledge that is FREE.

Make a point to have tunnel vision and in that I mean don't go off in tangents at everything that looks appealing as a money-maker. You must plan how you intend to proceed now that you have taken your first steps by becoming a warrior and making your first post. Start your planning process by making a list of all your skills. List all your past employment and the skills associated with each one. Next make a list of all your hobbies. This list will give you a great springboard for deciding what to do next.

    Good luck to you!

As a first step: get rid of this "employee" mindset that somebody needs to tell you what to do.
Learn to think and make decisions for yourself if you want to build a business.

I'm new too. You must be better off than me though, because I don't even know how to start a new thread. I looked it up in faq's and I don't see the link or button to start a new thread. Help?

I'd either buy a WSO or find one for free. That's a good start!

Many veteran IMers would strongly disagree with that...

And before investing in anything else, be prepared to invest in yourself: be confident, well-informed, focused, learn how to organize your time and how to think outside the box. ^^
