Mailchimp Please Help!

Im used to aweber and for the life of me I cant figure out mailchimp

In mailchimp ive setup a list but that is all i get confused with the campaign one as they give too many options

I need to have it so that when someone gives name and email that it sends out the 1st email and inside it would have the link which says

Click here to confirm your subscription to our list.

I would then have it so that when thats clicked it would go to a page on my site and also confirm their subscription

Anyone know how to do that and can help???

    It is not obvious in MC but you need to go into 'lists' in the top Nav, then 'forms' on your selected list, then use the drop down to select what you want to edit. See attached image.

      Ant, ok that is to get a form, but what about the content of the 1st email, do you do it there too?

        Yes - the confirmation emails are in that drop down too. 4th in the drop down list

    Be aware that mailchimp does not allow affiliate marketing and will shut down your account if you do it.

    But what i need to do is customize the first email that goes out on signup

    where is that done? i need to have it when a person clicks " Click here to confirm your subscription to our list." that it goes to a page on my site and confirms them

    But i cant find the area in mailchimp where that 1st email is for customizing

    first you create a list,then just under the button"create a list,there is a button"design signup forms"press on it.

    Next is to figure out how to set the link so that when a person clicks it.. it confirms them and redirects them to a page. Anyone know how to do that?

      5th option in the list is about the 'Thank you page'

      See the attached image that shows the extra field that comes up where you can add a custom URL.

    So is Campaigns just for when you

    1. Want to send to your list
    2. After they are confirmed?
