What is selling on Ebay now?

Hey guys,

Long story short, after years of working at it, I finally have my Paypal account set up where I can sell something on Ebay and actually get the money from it. (Very long story.) Anyway, just to "get my feet wet," and to also build momentum, I'd like to find a product/product line that is doing well, and sell it on Ebay. I have a liberal lunch hour, and can go buy anything at any thrift store. I'd just like to see if I could do it.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Jeremy

Very, very little, compared to a few months ago.

I always do well with clothes, as long as they're designer. Bookmark this page at eBay:

Hmmm, I've also been asking myself this question as well. I want to get a little more into the ebay realm and sell cameras, tv's, computers, etc. however it takes around 10k working capital to get your foot in the door with most wholesalers unfortunately. so i am at a loss as well my friend, there is a program however i plan to purchase... although pricey ($1000) it will be step by step by a real person over the phone/instant message. looking forward to that

I have an authentic clothing product from overseas that sells very well, but then again I happen to be here in person so I can arrange great costs.

  • Anything that sells anywhere else will sell on ebay.

It's just a matter of whether or not you can profit from it.

Money isn't real, George. It doesn't matter. It only seems like it does.

Electronics sell well at ebay. However, the problem is to find a wholesale supplier who will sell you stuff at a price for you to make a profit on the ebay.

I've been on eBay for ten years. What selles best are items you CAN'T bu yanywhere else, except if drastically discounted lie electronics. Otehrwise, rare collectibles and memorabilia that are diffciult to find elsewhere still commmand strong dollars on eBay. I've been buying and selling rare vintage movie posters and historical memorabilia and trust me, the numbers are still very strong.

I agree completely. eBay started out with collectible items being their "signature" items for sale, and they still are the best seller. The very few "rare" items I've gotten my hands on, (because I already owned them) sold quickly and profitably.

But again, as always, the problem is finding a steady supply at a price that will allow you to profit.

Haha, too true! My Uncle was heavy into selling collectible toy cars and other toys from the 40's and 50's on ebay. He made a killing! It's amazing to see what it's turned into in the past 10 or so years.

I was into Ebay in 2004. I did make some money from selling DVDs. But over the years, it's tougher to make any profit from Ebay.

I always liked this website, I thought their pricing was good.
Welcome to spclothing.com a wholesale clothing company, providing Jeans, Juniors Closeout, Off Price Apparel, Clothing Wholesalers

I have sold some clothing on eBay, digital products IE websites and did fairly well in both areas.

The fee's is what put me under, it just was not worth the effort in the long run.

I taught a class on how to buy and sell on ebay, and one of my students started selling her nick nacks from home and made a regular business out of it.
She simply picks items up at yard sales, and does over $500 a week.

I did some research on ebay a few weeks back and found out that Nintendo Wii is selling like hotcakes in the U.S. ebay.

The problem is that to get a good price from dropshippers or suppliers is quite hard and can eat into your profits.

    Childrens brand name clothes.

My wife goes to the garage sales and gets the childrens designer brand name clothes, and sells them on ebay. Some items she buys for around $2 and sells them for around $18.

Once upon a time I made a SERIOUS amount of money through ebay.

Nowadays though I have many friends making money through AMAZON.

ebay shot themselves in the foot too many times with their policy changes and their random choosing of listing removal. People just got too tired with them and moved on.

With so many holes in their feet, Im surprised they're still standing at all!

So you were gutted when ebay changed their policies in March? Or did your ebay business end another way Dan?

Personally - 2007 made me a 6 figure income through eBay and then they came and ruined the party.

    I love eBay!

The profits are down compared to last year but that has a lot to do with exchange rates........

Look for a good brand name, something small (easy to ship) that has a good following. It took me a few months to find a reliable, and cheap wholesaler, but when you find your guy hold onto him.

    Don't give up.
