New to Internet Marketting

Hey guys this is my formal hello I didn't see a "Welcome" or "Introduce Yourself" thread so i'm just going to post it here. In the past month I have been researching vigorously on how to make money at home online using the skills I have acquired over the years. My ability to understand complex systems and programs on a technical level has driven me to this particular website. I found this website about 5 days after beginning my research to making a living online. So far I have found out that it is possible only through time and effort (of which I am willing to put it) I have found sites like neobux, wealthy affiliate, clixsense, cash gopher, tons of "make money online" scams(or so it seems) and finally warrior forums. I have had previous success in the trading of services and currency for video games such as WoW power-leveling and gold trade (of which I spent hours upon hours of grind and training to finally get it right) however due to the downfall of a particular BOT (glider) and the game being so unbelievably easy now, the market for those products has taken a downward spiral. I have tried making my own blog (sicksreviews.blogspot.com) just to test out the capabilities of blogger with no marketing. At this point I am willing to invest out of pocket however I have no idea where to start. Do I start by making blogs and setting up adsense and directing traffic to it? And if so, how will I be successful in doing so? I guess i'm just reaching my hand out and hoping and praying someone will be generous to reach out and help. 1 on 1 coaching would be amazing. Possibly direction to an E-Book or any help would be greatly appreciated. I understand the concept of time and understanding and have developed a great deal of patience through many different practices. I want to prove not only to myself but to everyone around me that I can actually make a living online and that I am willing to take the necessary steps in doing so. I want to be able to rub it in peoples faces that I am not wasting my time. I want to get to the point where I can come back to these forums and find another post just like mine and reach my hand out to someone who is willing to put in the effort and the time to be successful and guide them along the way. Anyone willing to help me would be generously reimbursed. I am looking for friends, colleagues, business partners, a mentor. All of the above in one package. My name is Nick and I am here for the same purpose that brought you all to these forums. Thank you for your time and thank you for reading my post.

    Hi Nick

    Welcome to the Warrior Forum!

It's good that you have already done some prior research before joining this forum. You will find that you are able to scoop up quite an amount of information just by browsing through the threads here in the main forum or in the war room (paid subscription required).

Before you move further in your IM endeavour, you need to identify which is the area which you will be interested to venture further into. For instance, do you want to set up affiliate sites to promote digital or physical products? What niches will you be interested to target? Otherwise do some researches to identify the profitable niches.

Otherwise, you can also go the route of having adsense displayed on your niche sites, while having relevant articles to get revenue from clicks. Your income will largel depend on the niche or sub niche you are targeting as the payout will be different for different target keywords.

If you already have certain expertise which you possess and think people in the Warrior Forum(WF) will like to have, you may set up a WSO (Warrior Special Offer) in the WSO section. The pre-requisite however is you must be a war room member.

If you are still starting out in IM and not sure which route you should take yet, I suggest to sign up for the war room membership for $37. You will find many "gold nuggets" in terms of information being shared among war room members there.

Hope it helps. I'm sure other WF members will like to chip in with their inputs as well.

    Cheers,
    Lester

thanks for the feedback lester. I actually do have many skills. I played football for 11 years, have 4 years of lacrosse under my belt (decent market for lacrosse gear), I build and design my own computers, I am currently a brazilian jiu jitsu artist and private instructor (current champion in my division(possible market for gear/gyms) I also have extensive experience in snowboarding. I like to give coaching sessions to guys on women as well. I think my problem with the kick off of this particular venue is that I have done so much research that I have discovered so many different things that spark so many new ideas that I am having a hard time finding a place to start. Video games are a huge hobby obviously as i already have a blog for them. I have over 500 personal friends on facebook, most of which would do things like affiliate signups just if i ask them to without question. I am currently in a bind right now though, I am willing to pay some out of pocket investments but i dont have much as i have bills to pay and its getting rough right now for me. So i think the best possible thing to do would be to find the fastest way to make a lil money on the side and than possibly turn it into a large thing. I found the 100k Adsense E-book and that seemed like a good idea. I dont have that kind of money to invest though :/

  • Hi SICKOES and welcome to the WarriorForum. The components of a business with an effective Internet marketing department include:

    1. Extensive Market Research. You need to know profitable industries to operate in. You need to know profitable micro industries to operate in. You need to know profitable main classifications/categories to operate in, under those industries and micro industries. You need to know profitable micro classifications/sub categories to operate in, under those main classifications/categories...

You need to know the offline and online consumer markets under those micro classifications/sub categories. You need to know their exact needs and problems relevant to those profitable micro classifications/sub categories...

You need to know your competitors, their products, services, offline and online portals, offsite and onsite content and their marketing campaigns...

You need to know the exact keywords those online consumer markets use on Internet search engines when they are trying to get more information before they purchase those relevant solutions. You need to list down your reasonable expectations about the reactions expected from your offline and online consumer markets when they find content relevant and useful for their needs and problems...

Sounds like a lot of work, right? Wrong. There are credible global media corporations with deep pockets for their proficient teams of international business trade market analysts, global economists, socio-politico columnists, consumer market behavior psychologists, field researchers and actuaries. They publish updated analytical research materials developed by their teams on their offline and online portals for everyone to see. Use them...

    2. Business and Product Development. Use the data above to formulate business backend and frontend workflow systems, products and services which can satisfy the relevant needs and solve the related problems of your target offline and online consumer markets. You can also use the data from number 1 above to choose profitable affiliate products/services to market. You can also use the data you acquired to develop and integrate unique selling benefits into your products and services...

    3. Development of Promotional Offlline and Online Materials. Use the data in number 1 to identify the offline and online places your target consumer markets hang out since they expect to find useful solutions to their relevant needs and problems in those places. They also expect to find niche experts to talk to in those offline and online places. You can also develop your website and integrate strategies to improve the overall visual impact, layout, navigability and content richness of your website and content. Hang out where they hang out. Build the reputation of your business as a friendly expert resource of useful content, info, advice, tips, strategies, techniques, products and services relevant to their needs and problems.

    4. Formulation of Onsite and Offsite Content Development Plans and Marketing Campaigns. Use the data in number 1 to develop onsite and offsite content beneficial for your specific target consumer markets...

You can then establish mutually beneficial relationships with your target consumer markets. You can also build mutually beneficial partnerships with other businesses which can help you grow and expand your business...

Welcome to the forum. Read, read, read then do, do, do and keep your credit card in your wallet. Plenty of progress can be made for free. A War Room membership is well worth the expense, other than that, don't spend money on tools or WSOs until you have identified a need that will increase profits. Then go searching for the tool or thingy or shiny object that will satisfy the need. Main thing is to take action, track results, test and test again.

    Agree with Diane.

Like what I mentioned earlier, get a war room membership and you will find a lot of good information there. An excellent investment which you will be making and definitely worth the money for your long run success.

Identify the direction you will want to go before going full force into that, or buying any WSOs to aid your business direction.

    Cheers,
    lester

Before you even start creating internet marketing strategy for your website(s), you need to do a research. That’s where it all begins actually. Just like in any business, you have to understand where you are and what can you do.

    #1 Phase - Online Research
In this phase, you must research your market. Who are your main competitors? What are they doing online? PPC, SEO, press releases, develop their own products, do affiliate marketing or Adsense?

    Who is your favourite customer?

    #2 Phase – Data Analysis

If you’ve performed a thorough online market research, it’s time to systematize the data you have. Write down what are the main strengths and weaknesses of your competitors.

    #3 Phase – Strategy Development
When you already know your target market and your competitors, you are able to start creating your internet marketing strategy.

    #4 Phase – Monitoring Performance

Great tips, with the last part being taking action on all of it.

Thanks alot guys! I really appreciate the feedback. I honestly dont know where to start though. I have thought about trying to market the PPC sites to get referrals. Its a toss up between that and setting up a blog with a niche and marketing that.

    1. Where do you start?
Marketing, yes, that's where you start. What exactly do you do? Your number one priority is to build a list. This will be the list of people that you will hopefully be selling to.
    2. How do you build a list?
You are going to build a list by sending out promotions and offers with an integrated autoresponder system, such as Aweber, that will capture the names of those who sign up so you can promote your products to them.
    3. What do you promote?
There are many affiliate products that you can sign up to promote. You can go to CBEngine or to PayDotCom.com, among others, and sign up as an affiliate and choose the products you want to promote. Internet marketers usually pay 50 percent or more commissions on their products. This would probably be the easiest way if you are new in internet marketing. Also, you can usually sign up at the website where you find a product and become an affiliate there.

A couple things to consider: With that choice of username, any mistake you make will be treated as a deliberate breaking of the rules. You may not like that, but it's a fact. If you'd like to change it to something less likely to create problems for you, PM me and I'll make that happen.

Second, you need to break those long paragraphs into smaller units. The long paragraphs and irregular capitalization makes them very hard to read, which means your questions and comments may not get the attention they would otherwise deserve.

Up to you, of course. Just my observations.
