Is weather affecting web sites

All day my attempts to log into some sites has gone terrible astray when mostly I get time out messages. My host is one that I cannot seem to connect to or if I do it soon goes off air again.

The Firefox browser has also crashed on me a while ago.

Anyone else having troubles of this nature. Being in Aussie land means I do not have access to what is happening there so can anyone advise on the situation. The Warrior Forum has been no trouble and a couple of other sites are OK but some are just impossible to get into.

I'm in the foothills of North Carolina and our Charter Communications cable modem has been wonky ... not the modem itself, but the internet connection. Up and down up and down. Then again, this is normal for Charter, but has been especially bad tonight (last 3 hours and it's 3am here).

Who knows if it's the weather. Just know the internet is terrible for us here as the infrastructure is about non-existent.

Hope it gets better for you!

I had trouble getting an Internet connection first thing this morning here in Kansas. I assumed it was weather related somehow due to the 4 inches of snow and 12 degree air outside.

Luckily it kicked in or I would have had to freak out a little bit. hehe

I the last 24 hours I could not get many sites, including my host. My own sites were down and I think they are in Texas. I could not even get Google for some time. But the WF and other sites were fine. I can't work it out.

I know between the US and Australia there are a few exchanges or whatever but surely the seas haven't risen that much yet to block out passage of information. Or has it?

My browser also crashed a couple of times so what was causing that?

I am puzzled. Looking for answers from some clever people in here.

    God bless

My cable internet connection always goes crazy when it's raining and very cold. I think I should get some kind of discount. The last time it was out for more than 24-hours. I prefer DSL, but cable or dial-up is my only option.
