Default How to screen grab sound as well as video

Hi there

I want to use camtasia to screen capture a video, in fact it's Frank's new one about his going around his house, I know I'm sad but it's a cool (and fun) video and has some good lessons...anyway, I've tried various options but I can only seem to be able to capture the video. I've tried each option (mic, speaker, mic and speaker etc) but no luck.

I even tried using the mic to record the sound coming out of the speaker but it's not loud enough to pick it up. Thing is, I bet when the promotion is over, Frank will probably (?) pull the video.

Any ideas? Again, I know I'm a lost cause but I'm seeking help! ;-)

Phil

NO OPT IN REQUIRED: Check the photo on this page!! p.s This was going to sell for $47, now it is free and you can even give it away as your own opt-in incentive.

I was just looking for something similar, but for different reasons!

I found a program that should do exactly what you want:

Super Screen Capture/Recorder - Free Video Screen Recording, Screen Capture Software - free to download (no affiliation!)

They have a free trial version but I don't know it's limitations as I haven't tried it yet.

Cheers David, I'll give that a shot tonight. Funny though isn't it, you'd think Camtasia would have had the facility for doing that. Oh well.

Cheers for your help

Camtasia does have this function.

In your Camtasia Recorder Options...Audio setup, you need to select "Speakers - What You Hear" as your audio source.

You might need to click the Audio Setup Wizard button to see this option.
