Hi there I want to use camtasia to screen capture a video, in fact it's Frank's new one about his going around his house, I know I'm sad but it's a cool (and fun) video and has some good lessons...anyway, I've tried various options but I can only seem to be able to capture the video. I've tried each option (mic, speaker, mic and speaker etc) but no luck. I even tried using the mic to record the sound coming out of the speaker but it's not loud enough to pick it up. Thing is, I bet when the promotion is over, Frank will probably (?) pull the video. Any ideas? Again, I know I'm a lost cause but I'm seeking help! ;-) Phil |

I was just looking for something similar, but for different reasons! ![]() I found a program that should do exactly what you want: Super Screen Capture/Recorder - Free Video Screen Recording, Screen Capture Software - free to download (no affiliation!) They have a free trial version but I don't know it's limitations as I haven't tried it yet. |

Cheers David, I'll give that a shot tonight. Funny though isn't it, you'd think Camtasia would have had the facility for doing that. Oh well. Cheers for your help Phil |

Camtasia does have this function. In your Camtasia Recorder Options...Audio setup, you need to select "Speakers - What You Hear" as your audio source. You might need to click the Audio Setup Wizard button to see this option. |
