We all have to pay special attention to this. Or else your customers will come in one end and go right out the other, and your business will not retain them.
Sometimes we are taking two steps forward and one step back...
You gain 10% here because of some brilliant campaign...., and you lose 4% there because of some stupid thing you said without thinking, or some other reason... this is why foresight, forethought and true planning are important... which I am good at none of the above lol.
Most newbs dont think like this yet because they are just excited about the idea of "having" customers period.... but once the base starts growing you have to wise up because you can lose entire segments by saying something stupid or passing along weak info... having my own forum I get to see others launch stuff all the time and they share the details with me... So you learn alot.
Alot of newbs think its about making money anonymously only... but if you make any money at all internet marketing, that means you have a "customer" base, which means not only writing a good report but walking a straight line and being a good "Business" person, and taking care of your customer base.
Thus it takes commitment to being a "Business Person".
Anyway, I think Sal shares an epic thought here. Worth sharing as a stand alone thought.
