Decimation of earnings!

Since wednesday (five days ago) I have seen a complete destruction of my once reasonable levels of clickbank sales. 400 dollars plus a week has vanished to zero, absolutely nothing. I promote using articles, hubpages, web 2.0 etc. Has anyone got any idea what may be happening?

Ive checked my google analytics data and havent seen a massive drop, just 10 percentish. I am not a complete idiot, believe it or not, I am merely wondering whether anyone else has seen a similar trend.

The fact that youre asking here says everything. You should know exactly why.

Are you monitoring your sites using analytical data? Have you bothered to check traffic? Search placements?????

I assume this has something to do with the panda update?

It is a bit brutal, especially as I try to focus on good and unique content. Ive always enjoyed web 2.0 marketing as well

If you only have seen a 10% drop in traffic, but have a complete elimination of clickbank income, have you checked the simple things, such as are your affiliate links intact?

Many other marketers from other internet forums have noticed substantial drops in their sales as well. You are not alone. I had a great March 2011 but since April 1 my sales have tanked as well. I have 1 main suspect:
    1) The new internet explorer browser which is blocking CB's tracking cookies and has been crashing on the order form submit page. I have noticed an increase in order form submits NOT going through. I don't really use web 2.0 nor article marketing but have seen a noticeable drop.

Clickbank has become a nightmare for affiliates.

Thats a very good point actually. A large amount of my traffic use IE, and if there is a problem with IE and CB tracking I could be deep in it.

That could be it or it could be the notorious "clickbank poltergeist".

It goes something like this - everything seems to be fine and dandy with clickbank - then suddenly, you see a drop.

Then, if you sign up for a NEW clickbank account, swap out all the links, etc. sales magically come back again.

I didn't use to believe it - until it happened to me.

Sales stopped coming in. Just disappeared completely. Then, I suddenly changed up clickbank links with a new account and bam - back in business.

I'm not sure if this is it - but it's worth a shot.

In retail the week before and the week after income tax deadline is usually very slow. On my main retail site, Amazon and eBay sales have been very slow this week.

Not sure if that could have something to do with your declining affiliate earnings.
