Blog Post Or Pages For Wordpress?

Is there any advantages on using blog post on wordpress to post content rather than pages? I heard that doing blog post can result in duplicate content when using wordpress.


Any advice?

    Duplicate content? Not sure how. My technique has always been to first make a post, leave it as such until I have a new post and convert the old one to a page. It would be duplicate content if you used the same post as a page and left both on your site.

      I use posts for the content and pages for things like about us, contact us, privacy policy.

    There is no difference,use pages for your about us,privacy,disclaimer,terms,things like that
    and the rest of your content put as posts.

    I am not sure how content on a post would differ in duplicate content than a page, unless you are talking a privacy policy or something. If it is YOUR original content than it should not matter.

    It depends on the layout and navigation of your site. But, generally pages are for information about your site, categories, contact, about me, etc. Blog POSTS are there for you to inform your readers, allow comments, engage in discussion, etc.

    Maybe you could clarify what you are asking.
