Successful Warriors...

If you could only choose one product site to use in building your IM business, which of these two would you choose and why?

Thanks for any and all enlightenment...

I have yet to make money with amazon, but then again I haven't put much effort into it either.

I believe that these sites have different purposes. When I'm looking to make money with my list, I use Clickbank. Most of the promotions are a flash in the pan so you really need to get in on pre-launch and leverage your list. I have found this to be the best use of CB.

When building a niche micro-site, I like to use Amazon. The benefit is not just in selling or promoting a product to your niche, but the cross-sell and the up-sell commissions.

I say both. Throw commission junction in there too! I know your asking for one but why throw all your eggs in one basket? I've learned that having multiple income streams is the best for making sustained income.

Think of this, if your state or government decides to enact affiliate taxes and for example Amazon pulls out...what are you going to do?

You will hear the opinions fall on both sides...The reason being is that different models and approaches work well with both of these affiliate programs...

I would say to take some time and research the proven models and blueprints on here as well on the War Room for both Amazon and Clickbank and then ask yourself which model resonates better with you in terms of planning and executing it....Lots of great 5 star posts on both of these!

Clickbank is way better and quicker as compared to amazon if you wanna make money. Clickbanks have high payout and commission is anywhere between 30-50$ or even more at times

Clickbank is a better affiliate program, IMO, but you can make good money with Amazon as well. You'll generally get more per sale with CB though.

    Definitely Amazon.

It's a much easier sale, as most visitors will already have an Amazon account and familiarity.

I don't really think it's a question of which is better...

It's a question of which YOU are better at - kinda like how in martial arts, it's not about the art itself, but the practitioner's skill level of their respective art.

I will tell you that Amazon and Clickbank have their own "codes".

Here's what I've noticed so far:

Amazon is best for the review site model
Clickbank is best for the list building model

However, you can use both models for both the affiliate networks in the right situations.

What I do quite often is to use CB products to build up my online/offline lists in dozens of different niches, then hit them up with related high end Amazon and several other affiliate products.

I would rate clickbank above amazon if virtual products are concerned.

Forget Amazon they are greedy with the commissions. You'll make Amazon rich and get peanuts in return. Clickbank has a much higher % for commission and is the best choice if your in this to make money

For one, Clickbank could be a big money maker if you
have some power behind you. If you don't, then you
will be easily lost and won't be making sales as often.
Super affiliates often have teams of people who create
the websites for them and perform seo.

As for Amazon, I love this program dearly. It has been
a blast to work with and I am now starting to expand
    my Amazon site collection.

Think of this, if your state or government decides to enact affiliate taxes and for example Amazon pulls out...what are you going to do?

This happened to me once, when Amazon dropped everyone in my state (Hawaii) as an affiliate. I was left with hundreds and hudreds of amazon links that went no where...

Luckily the legistlation was vetoed and I was reinstated by Amazon....

However there is a good chance it may get passed this legistlative session....

My lesson....don't build your business on a house of cards that can be toppled at any moment on a whim.

You need to diversify, and use multiple streams of inclome so that if one dries up you have other ways to make an income.

So join Amazon, and Clickbank as well as CJ and Linkshare. and look into joining other affiliate programs...

Be ready to start replacing links if you have to...

And don't ever, ever put all of your eggs in one basket....

Amazon in my opinion works best as sharing with friends and family. Clickbank is made for serious affiliate marketers, but one has to be careful on what products to promote

    Both have their perks...

Clickbank is 99% digital products but their forced refund policy makes using paid advertising a crap shot. Although the commissions are rather high, Amazon will have a significantly smaller refund rate. Amazon also has a HUGE selection of products and you can also sell software if that's your thing.

If you want the best of both worlds, CJ would be a good mix.

I will prefer Clickban, I earn reasonable income from it.

Yes, the commission from clickbank is usually higher. Amazon has great products and is a trusted source but you have to sell more products to make the same money. It also depends on your site and what relevant products are offered from each.

    Depends on the situation

But in terms of what is easier I'd say clickbank. If you are inexperienced You have a better shot with clickbank because amazon has such a low commission percentage and generally it best serves you to have a site in a niche on which to sell amazon products successfully(IMO) And this is not something that every beginner has or can do straight off the bat

    cheers
