Noob question - how many keywords do ya rank per site?

About 8 months into SEO; What ive been doing is making pages (domain.com/keyword1); and throwing packages at those. I've noticed after 2-4 keys (credit cards, finance); I create a new site on an aged domain to diversify. I now have 4 active domains.

Was wondering if its best to try and blow up 1 domain, or possibly have 50 domains with 2-5 keywords amongst those domains (keeping it at 10-15 pages max).

I would assume diversity would be best, as if one site was to be shot done your whole business wouldn't be devastated...??

Any experience, suggestions would be cool.

If you can get a page to rank without having to get an EMD I don't see why you need to make a new site. Just focus on one keyword per page (or category for WP type sites). I think there is more benefit from having a site with authority, unless, again, you can get a EMD

  • My opinion and advice is to not focus on dominating particular keywords. Just create tight niche blog, which is a blog the covers all areas of a particular product or service, do your research, and write-write-write.

Every post should cover another aspect, product, service, etc. Make sure the posts are detailed. Go for longer posts when you can so you beat more of the competition.

Get deep into that one blog and get used to pumping out allot of content on it, and STICK WITH IT for months and you will start seeing the traffic building and building.

When you do this you will start to win for allot of keywords, and you don't have to spend allot of time chasing particular keywords. Later when your blog is extremely well indexed and doing very well with Google, then you can start laser targeting keywords because you will have the power to dominate.

It takes time, and patience. Focus.

Turnkey; thanks... All my sites were not EMD; I did however try an expierement and bought a emd for middle 4 figures about 3 weeks ago; officially launched the site about 3-5 days ago. I wanted to see if it was "easier" to rank for that desired key. Was formed in 2003.

My sites are not wordpress sites, all dont by dreamweaver and hand. The writing writing writing is a bitch tho, lol. Id like to outsource, but I bet those guys prob just copy and spin **** which can somehow be detected.
