Well, the qustion is in the title really I have 2 questions. 1)At what point do you start sending promotions? 2) how often do you send promotions to the list? Thanks! Dennis |

Hey Dennis, How are you contacting your list? Is it e-mail, newsletter, etc...? I would try to give 3 good info content e-mails to every 1 promo. This will keep folks from feeling they are being slammed with ads and not getting any content for their time. Build a relationship with your list. Talk to them like you would your best friend. Be relaxed and treat them like a confidant. If you are using a newsletter, have an area for ads (both your's and those you sell advertising space to). If using a newsletter approach, have your recommendation of the week (or month), where you review a product and have your affiliate link included. But for e-mail, don't slam them with ads/pitches. I unsubscribe when I get 4 pitches in a row with no content. And I pray to God that they have a space on the unsubscribe form where I can tell them why I'm leaving. Nurture the relationship. Don't just tell them the good of a product, tell them the bad, too. (maybe you could offer a bonus that offsets the bad, when they buy from you). Good Luck, Adam |

"I can" is much more important than I.Q.

I also think that 3:1 is good. It annoys me too when all people are sharing is pitches. I also think its okay to share tips about something, and at the end of the email credit that it is from the product you are promoting. I slip soft sells like that in sometimes, but try to use the hard sells less frequently. Matt |
