One-Time Offers?... I just don't know about these |-:

...Just curious? Are one-time offers really effective. I mean do they really convert. I can honestly say that personally I've never taken advantage of one of those one-time offers where you visit a site for the first time and then all of a sudden you see a page saying something to the effect "you will only see this page once -- so take advantrage NOW or it will be gone forever". I just always feel that I'm hit too soon with these "Great" One-time offers.

First of all, I'm just visiting the site and trying to familiarize myself with everything for the first time...so I'm just not in a buying mode that fast. Slow down already. Now maybe after I've been on the site for at least more than a minute, Then, just maybe then I would be more open and in more of a buying mode to view these One-Time offers. With a stategically timed delay I don't think I would feel as pressured and "steam rolled" into making a sudden buying decision after just visiting and familiarizing myself with a website for the first time. This is just my personal take on these Fantabulous 'One-Time Offers'.

What do you think? Have you ever taken advantage of one of a One-Time Offers. If so what was the One-Time offer that you took advantage of? And what motivated you to jump on it right then and there.

AND if you are someone who actually offers a One-Time offer - then have they converted well for you. Or has it been just a joke and waste of time. "Inquiring minds want to know."

One time offers and upsells can make a ton of money. If you're not doing it, there's a good chance you're leaving money on the table.

The best one time offers will be very targeted and relevant to your original offer. At a minimum, I think at least 1/3 of your total sales should come from one time offers or upsells to your main product (that's a minimum -- not necessarily good), but if you can get it to 2/3 or higher, you're sitting pretty good in most markets. And if you really have it down, you can make the majority of your sales from the one time offers and upsells alone (I know they're not necessarily the same thing, but you should at least do one of them).

As for conversions, it totally depends on the niche and the offer. For one of my medium priced products (in the hundreds), I get about a 66% conversion rate on an offer twice as much, but I consider that exceptionally well and targeted. With other products, a 10% conversion rate is still pretty decent.

So to summarize, yes, there's a lot of money there, and yes, it can convert well, but it largely depends on your offer.

I finished doing a OTO page and was planning on doing a sales page the next day. That was 3 days ago, the OTO page is doing so well I haven't even worried about putting up the sales page. I really do need to get started on that sales page though.

OTO's work great and can mean a lot of extra money for you. Just look at any successful Internet Marketer to know that One time offers work very well.

While you may not like the idea of spending money with something you haven't even looked at yet (which is completely understandable), there are plenty of people who will.

One time offers e pararticularly more effective if those customers have purchased from you before or if you have a good reputation. I have customers that regularly buy my one time offers because they are familiar with me and what I bring to the table.

    You are not your customer.

    Test them.

    They usually work quite well.
