Copying & Pasting Hoplnks

Warriors,

Is it okay to copy and paste hoplinks on my site change the text after tid= and then use the new link on a different page, or do I need to generate a new hoplink each time?

Thanks,

Sam

If you think that tracking each of your pages is crucial , just copy and paste the hope link and make sure to use varying subids which are related to each of your pages .

Okay so basically if I take a hoplink such as:
    HTML Code:
    http://5ce9eia8yyqdeksex7hn-cyv35.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=MYTRACKINGID
Then Copy it and paste it into a new page but change the TID so It reads:

    HTML Code:
    http://5ce9eia8yyqdeksex7hn-cyv35.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=MYNEWTRACKINGID
I will still be able to get sales from both links? I ask since when we generate hoplinks through click-bank it creates an entirely new link each time.

    Thanks,

    Sam

Yes, copying and pasting and changing the tracking ID manually works just fine. I have done it many times.

Yeah, that'll work. The trackingID will just change in your analytics, obviously.

56 UV a day and not even an order form count for over three weeks, am I worrying over nothing?

Have you tested the new hoplink to see if your clickbank ID shows up on the order page?

When I started in IM about two years ago, using a site with articles that had hoplinks in them, it was about 3 1/2 months and 1100 visits before I made my first sale. (Sorry, I didn't keep data on how many hops I had.)

Since then, no matter how I've restructured the site and how much I've added to it and how much my traffic has increased thanks to backlinking, I still average about 1000 visits per sale.

Since that's an average, that means there were times when I probably went 2000 or more visits without a sale. It takes a lot of data before you can decide there's a problem.

With that said, 1000 visits with no order form impressions would be unusual for me today. You don't say how many hops you had.

Is the product price VERY visible on the vendor's pitch page? If it is, then you won't get people going to the order form just to see the price. I could understand no order form impressions in that scenario.

If you've had fewer than 20 hops, I wouldn't worry yet. Just do a test yourself -- click your hoplink and view the order form -- and make sure you see the order form impression in clickbank analytics, so you know everything is working.

Once I got my first sale, it took a few months of 1 to 3 sales a month for me to gather enough information to start refining what I was doing. -- P.

By my reckoning that's over 1,000 visitors without a sale. Yep, something up...

I've had 140 hops and zero order form impressions (9th - 23rd of this month), so tested out a couple myself today and it seems to have registered them on the analytics already.

I was worried since I was getting order form impressions every few days and hadn't received a single one since the start of April (counted across three sites with the busiest getting around 60 UV a day). I hadn't got any Amazon conversions either, so I guess its just not a buying month!

At least I know Clickbank is registering impressions now but still I think my site should be getting more sales (none in a month) think I will try making a switch to CPA offers!

Guess in the end of the day one million people could still visit your site and choose not to buy!

140 hops is nothing for a Clickbank product, really, Sam.

Because of the variability (standard deviation) in the results, 140 hops without a sale is perfectly consistent with even a 2% overall conversion-rate, which would be acceptable for almost any traffic and almost any Clickbank product.

You really need 1,000+ hops before you can even start to measure anything meaningfully.

Is this "pre-sold traffic" from a list of people with whom you've built a relationship of some kind? (It's difficult indeed to sell significant numbers of Clickbank products any other way).
