As my name says I will sell any and everything - as long as it's profitable. I think most people just stick to the informational products (probably 95% of marketeer are stuck on the whole info products thing) - which leaves the physical products much more wide open. Just my opinion. Don't get me wrong I also sell info stuff, but I love selling physical products - I think they are much easier to rank for a lot of the times and there is so much more to choose from.

What benefit will you gain from this information? If you're trying to find out what sells... pretty much anything sells. If you're looking for ideas for your own business, look on any of the affiliate network sites, like ClickBank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, Amazon and many others. They provide a good list of products that sell online.

From that research, you can make the decision to promote as an affiliate or build your own products to sell.

Consider this. What one person sells is not an indication of what you can sell. People have strengths in different areas. If you are knowledgeable in one niche, that could be a good business for you to pursue. Knowing something about the niche will make your job that much easier. Otherwise, you'll have to do some research on the topic if you want to present it well.

People can say they sell internet marketing books. Well, internet marketing is a huge field. There are many aspects of it that you could focus on. They aren't likely going to want to share their specific niche with you as this would simply create more competition for them.

What people write here on the forum is available for all to see. Marketers don't want to share their business model with the world.

Sell services. If you have a skill, you can provide it to someone who doesn't have the time or skill level to do it themself.

Writing, making videos, designing websites, facebook marketing, basket weaving, hanging upside down while drinking milk, etc.

Previously I did a decent volume in health products till I got bored of them and sold all my sites so I could focus on hosting.

I'm new to IM, but I know one thing for sure.

Come up with your own ideas for products. People who own affiliate sites do lots and lots of research on their niches.

Search through Amazon, or Clickbank. Think about something that you would be able to write a little bit on...or just think about how what has high grav. and high commission and outsource your writing.

Not to be rude. Did you really think people would tell you their best niches? Like we want your potential competition? Just do a little research and you'll strike gold.

btw...I sell mostly dog training products.

I guess right now I'm trying to sell myself and services mainly, however, I hope to branch out to creating products and selling those too in the future. The areas I'm involved in are my main business ideas, where I try to use Internet Marketing to boost my own areas -- rather than taking the ideas and products of others and selling them. Will I make millions that way? No, not likely, but it's a great way to get some practice.

I'm still very new to internet marketing and it's likely going to take a while until I get to a point to really get my toes wet with anything that's major. So for right now I'm sticking mainly to things and areas I know really well and where it's not that hard to break into. I deal primarily with niches and areas where it's unlikely that I'd be competition to any of the main people in Internet Marketing. Most of the things I deal with are areas that would be unappealing to other Internet Marketers because they only would monetize well for those who have a passion in those fields. Many of them also have a very specific client/customer base that is not easy to cater to. I find that makes it easier to learn when I'm not finding myself competing with the VERY people I'm trying to learn from....

I don't sell, I give away a FREE Income Website. It gets set up for you in 24 hours. Your responsiblity is to get a WebHost and market it (the 30 day manual walks you through it all). The way it is set-up is that it generates affliate earnings, some are residual (if they are a membership). It does pretty well. I am still in the beginning stages...Hoping for big returns in the near future.

My humble advice is when choosing what you should sell is to find something that

A. you like
B. you know

Not necessarily a pre-requisite but something that will make your process of IM a lot easier....because then you won't mind doing some of the

more menial task while learning IM.

It will go a lot smoother.

For example:

I give people advice on losing weight by eating leaves....so

I start something in the weight loss by eating leaves niche.

It something I know, the keywords I understand a bit more than

the novice "weightloss by eating leaves" marketer out there.

So while I"m learning about the IM aspect, I don't have to worry about

learning about my subject matter, just the IM.

MAKE SENSE?

I sell articles both originally written and re-written articles. I do the research for the topic assigned to me to make sure that I could have an idea on what my client wants me to write upon. In addition to selling my articles, I also am a blogger which at times will promote the products of other people and company.
As of this time, I am now on the first step in writing and selling an eBook since I also wants to learn more about how to do and what to do in writing an eBook.
