Google but no Yahoo! or MSN traffic

I started a new Website, Security Certifications - CISSP - GIAC GSEC - Security+ - More, and got Google traffic within 2 days.

Now, slightly over 30 days out, I'm still getting Google traffic, but nothing from Yahoo! or Microsoft search.

I've never seen this before -- anyone else experience this or have an comment?

Yahoo! and MSN have always been easier and faster for me than Google.

Usually promotion methods: three blog links, one ezinearticles article with a link, and some social bookmarking.

My experience is Google spiders/indexes your site quickly (few days), especially if you use Wordpress which I do most of the time. Yahoo has usually come in second with MSN coming in a distant third. It has not been uncommon for me to see MSN not index my site for several weeks.

I have heard others mention MSN being fairly quick out of the gate, but that has never been the case for me.

What you are sharing also sounds typical for me, though google can then drop off for a while, as the others come into play. Google tends to give me a surge at first, that falls off (but comes back eventually if you've done decent promotion)

    Ted,

Go to http://www.Craigslist.com and go into the San Francisco Bay area. Create an advertisement about your site with a link back to your page. Something like, "Learn how to lose weight at http://www.iwanttoloseweight.com" and make sure it is a link. You will have to be a member at Craigslist to post in html but it is free.

Here is the reason this works...

San Francisco Bay area of Craigslist has a pagerank of PR8 and it is spidered A LOT. Yahoo and MSN love Craigslist and you will be indexed within 2 or three hours. You should start getting traffic after that.

    Hope that helps!

    Take care!

I will give that a try.
I always (in the few, perhaps 6 or 7), Web sites and blogs I've created gotten MSN and Yahoo! first, then Google. Not a complaint of course -- in the long run Google provides the most traffic to all my sites so far.

Google seems to be the easiest engine to rank with and it is the biggest one, yahoo is a little tougher and msn is more of a pain, just be glad google likes your site and ranks you well.
