List building free offers - 2 or 1?

I am toying with whether to use two offers at the same time to build my opt-in list (one an audio course for learning music and the other an ebook) or use them separately for different occasions and sites.
I have a blog and a site.

Any suggestions please?

why not both, even a video?

    OR...

Do the audio... then a week later, send out a PDF, then spend some time doing some videos, and release "some" of those out every other day.

Try split testing with two sqeeze pages. I use:

    www.google.com/websiteoptimizer

If you want to know if this is worth it? I just recieved two emails from Frank Kern and he was split testing his latest book launch email subject headlines.

You can really increase your value in your subscribers eyes if you send them free stuff they aren't expecting.

So maybe split them up and just mention the first thing they'll get for subscribing, then send them one or two more free gifts within first week or two.

      To the Op,

If you focus on free stuff then you will attract a bunch of freebie-seekers! So, the question you should be asking is this: Whats the difference between freebie-seekers and potential buyers?

Well you can't prevent it at all. But you can minimize the process.

If you go to a fast food restaurant and they offer you all their junk food and its free, but its not good for you.
( pizza, dessert, cake, etc) They can offer you all kinds of stuff for free, that is worthless.

YUCKY, since it was free you ate it anyway. That is the same way the freebie-seekers think about the free stuff on the internet.

Now, what do you think they will say about the quality of the information that you are passing around. With all the social web sites available the bad news about your business travel just a fast as the good news.

If you want to build a solid business then you have to give some information that has quality written all over it.

There are two way to do it.

One, create it yourself or buy something and give it away. The big mistake I see marketers make is to give away poor stuff and then spend their wheels trying to convert freebie-seekers!

Give away something that they can't get for free, AND I WILL SEE YOU IN THE SUCCESS CIRCLES SOON.

      Jimmy.

P.S. What I mean about buying stuff and give it away. Find a good "PLR Store" buy it and re-write. You can do this with audios and videos as well.

This may seem obvious, but I'll throw it out here anyway.

Regardless of what you decide to do, make sure that you use separate lists so that you can keep track of who buys audio courses and who buys ebooks.

I agree on the 2 lists but I would also recommend video as well. Perhaps even add a membership site component?
