Not Sure What To Do With All This PLR

I recently purchased a really cool PLR pack with TONNES of articles in hundreds of niches, along with a bunch or website templates and graphics. It sounded so cool when I bought it that I didn't really think through HOW I was going to use it:rolleyes:.

So since I am really inexperienced dealing with PLR, could someone who works with it more give me some ideas about how to best use this great stuff?

Thanks.

Ken

ps- Oddly, none of the niches I currently do IM in are represented in this pack:p. So using the content to augment my own is not a real option.

Put together several on the same or similar topic, rewrite or pay someone to rewrite and sell as a new PLR. An aggregate method, of sorts.

Might want to check out the Rhodes brothers, they're members here or
at least one of them is, because they do quite well with PLR. They have
several products based on monetizing PLR, and I think they may have a
WSO or two on the subject.

The most important advice I can give is to be sure you rewrite or have it rewritten for you. Fiverr.com is a good place to find people who will rewrite. I am not big of spinners, but some people swear by them.

    Two things you will probably notice once you take a close look at the Mega PLR package;
    1) The PLR is strewn all over the net
    2) The grammar is pretty poor

    Rewrite...did I say rewrite hahaha

I tried using spinners when I first started content writing and found that they actually slowed me down. I'm a faster writer without software and you're right, you do add value by fixing really badly written PLR.

  • You can bet if you purchased this cool PLR pack, thousands of others did, too. And the person you bought it from, probably got it from a guy who sold it to thousands of other people. And he got it from...

I think you get the idea. Tens of thousands of you selling the exact same product.

I would categorize the stuff, put similar stuff together, then rewrite it.

Spinner software is definitely crap. Usually it doesn't even sound like English anymore when it's done. Do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.

Then I would set up blogs for the various niches and use the articles for content.

If I can find which hard drive it's on, I have thousands of those types of PLR products I would be happy to send your way for free.

There are so many different ways you can earn money from PLR. It is highly recommended that you rewrite, or at least heavily edit, the content you have received, as there will likely be several other buyers of the exact same content. You want yours to be unique and fresh when you expose your readers to it. You could use the templates with the content to create new niches sites in areas you have yet to explore. The PLR could help you test the waters, and then you could write/purchase original content for the site if it looks promising.

Another idea is to create an info product out of related PLR content. Just make sure it's all rewritten/editing and pieced together well. This could be sold on a website, eBook sites such as Tradebit, or for the Amazon Kindle.

    Here's my advice ..
    Sell it on
    TradeBit
    Fiverr
    Digital Point Forums.

that all you need to do.
Or you can always put it up on clickbank or payzeno.

Hi, I will suggeest you to combine and re-package as a giveaway product.

You can setup a squeeze page, put the giveaway product there, and this is good for email marketing.

Beside this, you can submit to JV Giveaway Event, I personally get a lot of email subsribers form JV Giveaway Event when I upload my FRee product there.

Hi - I like the fiverr.com idea. You could set up and test within a few hours. It's also worth spending $50 and getting it rebadged. You'll have to rewrite if using the source content to market with. I think PLR is best used as a framework, sort of an external skeleton if you like....but try the fiverr.com idea first, you never know...regards Allen

I agree there are a ton of ways to use PLR material. I like to take several related PLR products and put them into a product, then use this to give away for free to build a list, also you can use the content on a blog, spin the content for article marketing and use to drive traffic. Also cut the meat out of several to create a unique product, be sure to get some new graphics done and rewrite the sales copy then you now have your first product, use it to brand yourself online in your niche. You will be perceived as an expert in your niche and most importantly of all always build your list!

You could use it to giveaway and build your email list. Then cross sell your other products. You could also use them as bonuses to other products.

  • The big problem with PLR articles like these as that so many other thousands of people have exactly the same article set to work from (I know they don't all use it, but you're still facing stiff competition).

My suggestion would actually be to try and find some PLR with limited distribution, just to reduce the competition angle.

Think of a topic you're particularly interested in and use the PLR (slightly rewritten) to start a niche site.

You can supplement it with the additional PLR from the mega-sized pack you've already purchased, but don't rely on that alone.

Also, use some of the PLR to put together a short ebook, which you can give away in return for an optin and grow a list.

"I've got a tonne of PLR, what to do with it?"

    Do this brother :

    1) Read all of the content, get a feel for the niche and get some ideas.

    2) Re-write the content. Improve the graphics. Add in "professional" looking pages into the product; chapter dividing pages for example.

    3) Build a) A Blog, b) A List, c) A Squeeze Page, d) Forum Accounts in the said niche and start marketing!!

    4) Spin the articles creatively - i.e: Read and re-write, don't just change a few words.

    5) Get backlink's - I strongly recommend getting packs for these. Searching online I found various packs of .EDU and .GOV backlinks. I believe that there are threads revealing how to get them right here on Warrior Forum, so use the Search Tool here on the boards.

There is no end to the possibilities of PLR (good PLR). If this is the package I think it is there are some real gems and jewels inside. There is also a lot of antiquated content, dating back to 2006.

You will discover that many of the articles are not for popular or current searches, but nonetheless they can be turned into current niche content that relates to searches.

It all depends upon what you want to do and how much time you want to spend.

Rewriting is something that has to be done, not only to make it original, also to make it contemporary.

If you are not interested in utilizing for yourself then repackage it and sell it as an original product. You will at least make your money back and some, if done right.

Or as previously mentioned give parts of it away to your readers, as an incentive.

You could also bolster it with some of your own content and articles, or other PLR packs that contain different material than this one that you already have.

I have been building the largest PLR package online for over 2 years and I am still not ready to release it, but it already contains over a million and 400,000 files. There is no pack that comes near this size. It also contains many niche subjects and articles that the others do not.

Many have expressed that the use of spinners is not well received. I use them, but I am very careful about which ones that I use. One is an Excel spreadsheet and it is fantastic but is no longer available online anywhere that I know of.

There are so many options that you can use PLR for. You can pick and choose what you want to do with them.

Thanks Greg. Yeah I use a spinner only to specifically replace only the words and phrases I tell it to and with only the specific choices I give it. Ironically it is made by the same company I bought the PLR from.

      Thanks again.

Lots of good advice here. The most important thing I can say is that you should think of PLR stuff as a starting point for creating your own product, whether paid or free. One of the most time consuming processes is research, and if the PLR is high quality, most of the research will be done for you already, so you just need to figure out how to repurpose the PLR in the best way possible to produce an offer that has the maximum value. If you want to learn more about PLR repurposing, Jason Fladlien has a wonderful course on how to repurpose PLR:

I just re-released one of my products on this topic...

You're an audio guy right? Take all that written PLR content and turn it into audio content and/or video content.

Then sell it the Private Label Rights to it...

Or use it to create physical products...

Lots of things you can use PLR for.

I still think the best way to make money with PLR is to take it and re-brand it as your own unique product....most people who buy PLR are L-A-Z-Y....they just take it and resell it as-is.
