I am working on the Newbie workbook by brian zimmerman. It is a 30 day campaign and the idea is to write 3 articles a day and link them to my main blog. Also ping, social bookmark, rss aggregate, wordpress, hubpage, and squidoo.

The book suggests writing three articles a day for about twenty days. My question is, do you think it is necessary to write that many? I'm afraid that if I am focusing on writing 3 articles a day I might get too caught up in the quantity over quality.

Do you think I can still see results if I were to write 1-2 articles a day of good quality? Also, regularly post in my blog ?

Thanks in advance

I say, follow the course and see how it works for you. Brian is telling you what works, and you paid for the course, so follow it through. If he says write 3 articles a day then do it. If he tells you to stand on one leg when you press the enter button, do that too.

Brian is an experienced marketer and offers a lot of good advice. He's been around a while so trust him.

With that being said, 1 or 2 articles may work, but it may also take 4 or 5. You never know until you do the work.

Thanks. I actually didn't pay for the book I found it on another forum where someone was giving it away.

I am doing everything that the book tells me to do, I was just also having a hard time understanding how to write that many articles with only a few longtail keywords. He says to chose a few longtail keywords but I don't understand how to write 3 articles a day for 20 days around three long tail keywords. Maybe I am missing something here? I am new to all of this so I am trying to research and obtain as much information as possible.

I know that this isn't your product to give me advice on, but if you have an idea of how I am expected to write that many articles with only a few longtail keywords, I would greatly appreciate it lol

That's a ridiculous pace for 1 property. If you were spreading some of those articles to web 2.0 properties or article directories linking back to your money site then maybe. And what do you after 20 days, just stop? I would think a slow and steady rate over a longer timeline will give you a more stable and enduring property.

Actually yes, all of the articles are going to be backlinks to my blogger blog. I don't think that i'm supposed to stop writing articles after the twenty days, I think that Im supposed to continue writing articles but not as many. But like you said, it makes more sense to write 1-2 good articles over a long period of time.

Either way, I am still stuck on the fact that I am supposed to write so many articles built around only a few longtail keywords

As you said that you are worried about compromising on the quality of the articles when writing 3 articles a day then you should definitely write less articles so that you can keep your quality really high. One quality article can give you lot more traffic and back links than hundred low quality articles as low quality article will never get syndicated. Always concentrate on quality first.

IMO, yes that would be fine. If you are going to be obsessive about the numbers, you probabaly will lose out on the quality.
