What do you tell people about IM

Hey people,
do you guys ever get or had friends or family ask what you do for a living? and you say i work at home online. or something along those lines. They say exactly what is it that you do. So you you give broad outline about IM, and they say i could do that can you teach me. i have had 2 friends that i have tried to teach and both have failed. 1 because that didn't listen and 2 they thought is was walk in the park. They thought IM was a get rich quick rich scheme.

Then you get the other people that give you the impression that they want you to teach them, but they don't have the stones to directly ask. But i don't have time to teach other people. Or more specifically i don't want to waste my time. As i am writing this i have come up with an idea. i want help out my friends and family and i happy not to charge them. As long they are willing to work and listen. heres my idea that i just thought of. "who ever i teach gives me a $X amount deposit, say $500 they get that money back when they make say $2000 online. But if they fail i get to keep the $500". i reckon it would work and get the people i am trying to teach motivated.

So people please discuss what you tell people you do when they ask you "what you do for a living"(do you hide it because i do sometimes). And what do you think about my idea, thought up during the post HAHAHA.
