Newbie needs help with WSO!

Dear all,

I'm a newbie in the midst of creating a product for my first WSO. I've decided to use WSO as the first way of making money online because I figured that it's the most straight forward.

My knowledge on computer is really poor, and I'm not very familiaron the technical front, so I'm wondering if anyone who's set up his or her own WSO before can run me through a checklist of tools I may need.

Also, if possible, can experienced warriors here please run me through the step by step to set up the WSO briefly. I would really appreciate if someone can just do a point form reply for me to go through everything from paying my $20 to the admins here to getting paid by Paypal.

I don't have DLGuard and autoresponder yet, I'm hoping to use the income from this WSO to purchase them, is it going to affect the success rate of my WSO?

Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance to the kind soul out there!

Regards,
Frank

    Hi John,

Thanks! I've actually read the rules already and I am not launching my WSO in the next 2 days, I probably need another 7 days on my product and just seeking some pointers which experienced marketers like yourself may have for me.

I am actually trying to get over my tech phobia by understanding how easy the process should actually be.

    Regards,
    Frank

Frank, you might want to just save your money and contribute more to this forum.

People don't know you. Until they do they may not purchase anything from you.

Besides, I thought there was a minimum post count. You only have 5 posts right now which I don't think is enough.

You know it really annoys me to see

OK, I've been waffling on this myself since I'm also basically unknown here. I'd thought about offering ghostwriting services as a WSO but don't know if anyone would be willing to take me up on the offer. I'm working on creating my own product and thought that I could do my first WSO to help establish myself among my fellow warriors, but now I'm wondering if I should wait a while. Also, I don't want to try to artificially inflate my posts by posting "I agree" and "way to go" type posts, so I'd be interested to hear what you'd advise for someone in my situation.

The only way you know is if you try. If you don't try, you are 100% guaranteed not to sell any.

Pioneer and Chopper: You may want to check out the book on WSOs that Allen (forum owner) recommends in a sticky at the WSO forum. It has lots of great tips.

        Have a good one,

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Firstly to Mr John Taylor, I'm a beginner looking for some help here and if you are not willing to contribute I think it would be nice if you just refrain from leaving comments instead of slamming others? Things like that don't necessarily help someone who's starting out and willing to put the work in to make money online. I wonder what you would feel if you get unnecessary replies to your first Warrior Forum thread. Thanks a lot.

Perhaps I don't have enough posts under my belt to earn any respect from the more experienced marketers, but I've never had:
    1) the intention of signing up to Warrior Forum only to use WSO to make a quick buck
    2) the need to pump my post number by commenting things like "nice post", "good comment" and things like that. I've just started, and when I see a post I like and I should comment on I make it a point to post my opinion rather than flooding every thread with 2 meaningless words.

I'm actually quite baffled as to why there is so much negativity surrounding this thread. Shocked actually.

I've seen threads slamming people who complain that they don't even have $20 to run WSO but are always asking for ways to make money online etc, and I've also heard stories about people who sit on their asses the whole day and get nothing done. But I don't understand why are some people giving me crap here when I'm taking action instead of just imagining money falling from the sky.

I've never said that I am going to launch a WSO now, but I am just planning for the costs that I may have to incur when I launchit eventually. That's basically half of what I'm asking for in this thread. I'm just trying to plan everything I do online from now like a business and I need to research my cost right? Isn't this something that any of you successful guys around would have done as well? Or is it wrong to ask questions like this in this forum?

All that I am aiming for is to use the WSO as a starting point to earn my first few dollars online to gain some confidence. I concluded that it is my "lowest hanging fruit" with internet marketing from the threads I've read and reports I've bought. I just want to prove to myself that it is possible to make some money online and use that as motivation to go on and progress, what's wrong with that?

You got that response from John because people come here and try to make money from people in the community without adding to the community. They only see dollar signs instead of mutual learning.

I think John was appropriate in his post and you are not.

Instead of ignoring the rest of our advice and going for that low hanging fruit (which is a great way to referring to us) maybe you should work on establishing yourself in the community.

Making money in the wso section isn't where the real money is to be made on this forum. The relationships you create will far outweigh it.

    Thomas,

I thank you for your point and I see where you are coming from. Perhaps I didn't phrase it properly, but I DID NOT join this forum to make money from WSO. It's just a way for me to test out what I've learnt from people, books and the valuable information from all the members of this forum.

I welcome all valid opinions, but what I'm upset about is getting discouraged at this point and also being misunderstood as someone irresponsible that happen to be here to earn a few quick bucks from WSO, I really don't know where that came from.

I do not forsee myself launching any WSOs until I feel I've been participating enough in this forum and I aim to share information with others in the forum regularly until I feel that I'm in a good position to put something together that is of great value to the other Warriors.

I hope with that statement I've clarified my intention of being in this forum.

    Hi Frank

I'd stop whilst you are ahead my friend.

You do well to prepare yourself for your first selling experience, but to be honest you are digging yourself deeper into a hole by arguing with John. (He's a Scot and very brusque lol)

What you need to be doing before you even think about a wso, is diving into the posts etc on the forum and get learning from them

Contribute to a few threads, let us know your opinions etc, (they are always welcomed).

Once you have a decent amount of posts under your belt, then come back to us with your questions about a wso. We'll be glad to help.

BTW I think there is a book in the stickies of the wso forum which is excellent, (I bought it myself). Buy that, devour it, then like I said, come back to us for help. You will find we're very willing to give it

    Cheers
    Kim

    Frank,

as some previous posters have alluded to, it is unlikely that your WSO will be a success due to the fact that you have such a low post count. If you look at the WSO section you will see it is a very competitive environment, with some great offers from some very experienced members.

If you have something to offer then I would advise you to contribute to relevant threads, establish a reputation, and then offer your service as a WSO. There's no need to be discouraged, this is a friendly forum. Unfortunately in this area there are a lot of spammers, of which I am sure you are not one. However, I think you need to establish some sort of reputation before you start offering a WSO.

    Just some friendly advice...

    Hey Frank,

What you are hearing in the thread is not negative. But what the folks are saying is straight information.

Unfortunately it looks like the majority of us read your original post and interpreted it the same way. You have made yourself clearer in your later post and I'm glad you did.

What you are learning here is the unwritten WF etiquette rules. The forum is about learning and contributing. I was here for almost 18 months before I ran my first WSO. But during that time I continued to learn and gave back to WF community.

As Thomas said above the relationships you form here will last you a lifetime, but WSO's all have a short lifespan (well most of them). I applaud you taking action to come up with your own product and no one is shooting you down for that.

Take the time to cool off a little bit and follow the directions listed on the WSO Sticky for what you need to do when lauching a WSO. It's actually very easy.

I've never posted a WSO - so can't help you with the procedure. But as a teacher I know the best way to learn is by doing. I'm guessing that what upset people was that you were asking the question without having even tried. People will help others who are prepared to help themselves.

I realise you didn't mean to upset people - but my suggestion is this:

If you have a produce/service you want to post as a WSO - get stuck in and try. If you hit a particular problem I'm sure folk will help you.

Also, and again I'm sure you didn't intend this, telling people your computer knowledge is poor probably isn't the best introduction for a WSO of any kind!

If you did know the procedure you wouldn't recommend this..

He can't, the rules state you must have a minimum of 30 posts before you are permitted to post a WSO.

LOL - obviously I meant when he has fulfilled the necessary requirements!!!

And yes - I would still recommend what I said, even if I did know the procedure.
