What if Refunds Come On ClickBank After You Withdraw Complete Funds?

Just curious.

Recently I was promoting a clickbank product facebook maxed. I did very well though it was my first time. But I didn't get any refunds till now (the product has got a 60 days cover) I've given the weekly wire transfer option for my pay-outs. So 90% of my funds are withdrawn. I wonder what if they do if refunds are coming after I withdraw all the funds? (yeah, I get sales everyday - even now) But what if a person don't get further sales, withdraw all the funds and then the refunds are happening? I think the customers will get an instant cash back on refund. So how CB will handle this?

Any idea?

It only happened with me a couple of times years ago, where I got refunds after I had been paid. My account went into a negative $ balance and when I got more sales it evened out... that was it. I'm not sure if the amount would have anything to do with it.. mine was -$75 and it sat there for a good couple of weeks but no one said anything, it just leveled itself after I made more sales.

Maybe if it's a significant amount they may take some sort of action... or show up at your house if it's really high.

You need to know for sure that you're promoting a high-quality product that will not result in too many refunds. What you should try to do is pick up a review copy (or even buy the product in question) before promoting it, to ensure that you're not promoting junk.

Yes. This is the best way. If we are confident that the product is of good quality, then we don't have to worry about the refunds issue. But I think - whatever the quality of a product is - sometimes refunds happen, may be a 2-3% at least.

I dont think thats going to happen. It's them who wired the money. Besides, they hold back a certain amount each time they pay us

maybe give quality products...how about that LOL.

then you wont be getting refunds.

yes ok, refunds are normal, even if you have the worlds best product, but I normally send them an email straight away congratulating them for purchasing...and then the next day I email them AR and give them a freebie bonus.

When I started doing this, and made sure my products were top notch, my refunds rates dropped dramatically. Just saying you can use these tips to help! They have worked well for me in the past.

Hi Mervik, this isn't an unknown situation with Clickbank at all, of course.

There are no circumstances under which they'll ask or expect you, as an affiliate, to repay anything to them (which is probably the main thing you wanted to know?).

If your account goes into the red because of refunds after you've withdrawn money, as can happen, they'll take the view that you'll make further sales and they'll just "hold the negative balance" (no interest payable) until that happens, when they'll deduct what they were owed from it before paying you out any more. And if you never make any further sales, they'll stand the loss themselves. But there are no circumstances under which you ever have to send them money.

As commented above, refunds are pretty easy for customers to get, at Clickbank. Of course, from the perspective of making sales in the first place, this feature is one of the attractions to vendors and affiliates: many customers will buy much more easily and readily, if they know there's a relatively easy refund facility available.

Refund rates at Clickbank typically vary hugely between different affiliates for the same products. The major determinant is usually how the product was pre-sold.
