Hi, before you start IM, you must know some basics of going about your business. Know the terms are good but still insufficient. Many newcomers to IM are too eager to make money online by buying the make money programs before they even learn how to go about doing the basics thing like setting up a website, signing up with affiliate programs, accepting payments from websites etc etc....and they ended up getting stuck in their projects which becomes a hindrance to their progress.

My advise is to master the basics first before deciding which path to choose for your online businesses Once you are confident with your skills then maybe you can start to buy some good make money systems from clickbank or wsos. Good luck

  • Wambui, going from 6 years of experience, i'd say the best place to start learning is by subscribing to a part of this forum called "the war room".

Think of it as a library of several HUNDRED internet marketing products, ideas, software and information.

There's no need for you to buy any more products until you have gone through the war room. It is incredible for a beginner!

As for affiliate programs, stick with clickbank.com for now.

The general process for IM is:

    1.) choose topics
2.) choose specific niches in those topics
3.) perform research into keywords, competition and monthly searches from google
4.) use a platform to advertise the product (your own website, email, free blogs, forum signatures, paid adverts... etc). Write content / sales letter.
5.) Generate traffic to the platform
6.) Test the platform for effectiveness, if effective, add additional media platforms using same style. If not, move to a different platform.
7.) Review, update and maintain the platforms... repeat as desired.

    That's basically it.

If I bottom line it even further:

    1.) Find a niche

    2.) Find a product

    3.) Analyse demand and competition

4.) Use a method to Advertise it

5.) Generate Traffic to the ad (get people to view the ad)

6.) Review method, decide either to upscale if method is working; or change method if it is not.

That's it in a nut shell.

Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.

There are several ways to start making money online that will just require you to be computer literate and ofcourse be good at the English language as it widely understood. Search for them and you'll find hundreds of them. Some are legitimate and real methods for making money online and others are scams and get rich quick schemes. There are legitimate ways to make money working from home, from making money with affiliate programs, blogging and freelancing to making money with ebay, earning money with online surveys and GPT programs to other simple ways to make money fast. Remember that you do not have to spend a dime to start making money online.

Although there are so many different ways to make money on the internet, making money online isn't always easy or quick. It takes hard work and dedication. Yes, there are some online jobs that are easier than others and there are some quick(er) ways to make money, but if you want to make real money, you have to put some time and effort into it. Earning money online is no different than making money offline. If you want to work at home, you need to have the right mind set. Forget about making money with a push of a button, free money or the magic money making method that is going to get you rich over night. Though internet itself is a virtual world, there is nothing virtual about the need to work to make money online. If you want some more help, I can gladly refer you to some freelancing websites and maybe a guide on this topic.

Please dont forget to learn some light scripting .... at the VERY LEAST. This will open so many doors. You don't have go take a class or anything .. just use the internet and google is your friend .. learn the lastest version of html and javascript to start with ... go from there if you want to take it further .. this knowledge will pay HUGE dividends later on.

Internet marketing is associated with several business models:

E-commerce: a model whereby goods are sold directly to consumers (B2C), businesses (B2B), or from consumer to consumer (C2C).

Lead-based websites: a strategy whereby an organization generates value by acquiring sales leads from its website.[citation needed] Similar to walk-in customers in retail world. These prospects are often referred to as organic leads.

Affiliate Marketing: a process wherein a product or service developed by one entity is sold by other active sellers for a share of profits. The entity that owns the product may provide some marketing material (e.g., sales letters, affiliate links, tracking facilities, etc.); however, the vast majority of affiliate marketing relationships come from e-commerce businesses that offer affiliate programs
Local Internet marketing: a strategy through which a small company utilizes the Internet to find and to nurture relationships that can be used for real-world advantages.
