Use a software name before sucks.com? Any problems?
Are there any horror stories where someone had to give up the domain name and maybe pay damages for doing something like this? I'm guessing probably not. It used to be frequently given advice years ago, that when you register a domain, you might want to also register the domainsucks.com so it can't be used against you. That might suggest there isn't much legal recourse available.
There is a very popular software that I find irritating because it is so bad compared to a much less well known alternative. Every time I have to work with it for a customer, I've wondered if the sucks.com was available, and it seems like it is.
I don't normally talk like that. Fuzzy mush is the worst I've ever called the software. But there are related services with affiliate links and I'm getting interested in doing something with this.
I would expect that I'd have to be super careful about not saying anything that wasn't true. I try to be careful about that anyway.
Anything else I should watch out for?
