So does anyone know an article submitter that actually works?

Hey Warriors,

I've tried several article submitters and it seems that I sign up for each article account and input it into the software and press the "test" button. It says log in is successful.

Then when I go to actually submit an article the software starts up and just about every single posting shows "failed".

Does anyone know of a submitter where it will actually post the article to most of the directories in the software?

Thanks
Bryan

Two of the best that we use on a regular basis are: Unique Article Wizard and Article Blueprint. They do work. We have a number of celebrity clients and need to work on reputation management every day. We create 3 unique articles, submit them to their wizards and typically get about 300 - 500 directory submissions per unique 3 articles.

Bear in mind, Bryan, that the average life expectancy of an article directory is only a few months, but that many sit there disused and unindexed until their hosting and/or domain-name fail to be renewed.

I don't do this any more myself, so my own figures are out of date, but many people say that it's unusual indeed to get more than 10% of such "mass submissions" both published and indexed.

But it doesn't make much difference anyway, because they're all non-context-relevant, PR-0 backlinks and you'd typically need something between 50,000 and 100,000 of them to confer the link-juice equivalent to one relevant authority-site backlink.

I've certainly heard far fewer "horror stories" about Article Marketing Robot than about any other readily available software for this purpose, if that helps.

I submit my articles and my client articles by hand. I have not found a submitter that was helpful.

I have to agree with you there.

The only article submitter that will work for you 100% of the time is a human one. And even then, especially if you're outsourcing, you might run into some flukes.

I use Article Marketing Robot and am happy with the progress that I've made with using it. Directories may close down but they get taken out and new ones added. It's easy enough to submit the articles again but just to the new directories. The sites that I have promoted via AMR mostly rank in the top 10 for their keywords and traffic has increased on all of those sites so those are the real figures that interest me.

I also submit by hand sometimes in certain niches, but that is when I can find a decent amount of sites that rank well for those niches.

The phrase 'Article Directory Marketing' seems to have been invented on this forum since the Google updates and has been coming across to some extent as patronising. Most article marketers start out by submitting to directories but not all of us are skilled enough to get our articles syndicated by authority sites yet we are still article marketing and use different methods for different reasons.

I don't want to offend anybody but as far as I am concerned there are several forms of 'Article Marketing' and that includes the way I started with it and that was having my articles published in offline magazines in exchange for full page ads that would have cost several hundred pounds and earned me far more. Article marketing is a way of advertising businesses on or offline and in whatever form Article marketing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Thanks

So if you submit them by hand, how long does it take you and to which directories do you submit to in order to see results?

    Thanks

I know you're asking Bonnie and not me, Bryan; but - in general - you have to define what you mean by "results".

It's not possible to tell, here, whether you're talking about "article marketing" or "article directory marketing". They're very different things.

If you're wanting to use article directories to attract traffic in the form of potential customers, and to derive some off-page SEO-value from backlinks in article directories, then you may have a very long wait indeed for any measurable "results".

Personally, I use only 3 article directories, submit to each by hand (which takes, as you can imagine, very little time) and make my full-time living from article marketing, but I'm writing for syndication, not for article directory traffic/backlinks - that's rather a forlorn "business model" for most people, especially these days.

Alexa, just out of curiosity, what 3 article directories do you use? Personally,
I've stopped writing for a while now and no longer do directory submissions,
but am curious as to what you feel is left as far as a "quality" directory.

I always use EZA, and additionally one or both of GoArticles and ArticlesBase (on a niche-by-niche basis).

I honestly don't consider either of these two to be a "quality" directory. The reasons I continue to use them are simply:-

          (i) I'd be slightly nervous of using one article directory only, just on the "eggs and baskets" principle, and ...

(ii) I keep reading here that some Warriors do find their articles syndicated from each of those two directories to some decent, high-quality, relevant sites which bring targeted traffic, and although (compared with EZA) that rarely happens to me, it's another minor reason for choosing those two, I suppose.

My criteria for "article directory selection" are different from those of many affiliate marketers here, I'm sure: I have no interest in article directory backlinks, and when someone finds one of my articles by using a keyword as their search-terms in a search engine, I want them finding the copy of the article on my own site, not the article directory copy, so I'm not really using them for traffic, either - only, literally "as a directory" (i.e. depository of freely available, re-publishable content).

Another vote for Article Marketing Robot..Sniper's software is good stuff. Also, I stopped doing submissions by hand to my top 5 sites when I can automate those submissions with either Rank builder or Seo Link Robot.

So as you see, it's a combination of tools which effectuate my ability to move a lot of content (good content too) quickly.

Yes, not to endorse any tool but AMR has been okay for me. Quite easy to use and can easily be mastered. You just need to know a few tips on effective spinning to make your articles as unique as possible on the different article directories it submits to.

Article Marketing Robot has been the most successful for me and my clients! However I would recommend manual submission on the top 5-10 pr sites, I just will not chance fouling up on the ones that I get the best press out of.

  • I have just started using free traffic system.com and that seems to work pretty well. Be warned though that each article is manually approved and they are more stringent than Ezine articles about their standards ( a good thing!). The results I have been getting are pretty good though.

AMR (article marketing robot) works very well for me!

Tip: Submit to like 20 "high profile" directories, wait 3 days. Then submit to the rest (several hundreds) and backlink them to the 20 from before. Its a mini-link pyramid.

Most article directories will be deindex by Google because they are hosting too many duplicate content. I have a friend running 10 article directories at one time trying to make money using Adsense. But most of his article directories ended up getting no much traffic because those directories were deindex by Google eventually. So do those articles submitted there

Article Marketing Robot gets another vote.

As far as the discussion on duplicate content and syndication goes, Matt Cutts from Google said himself in a video interview (can't seem to locate the URL for the video) that you should always post your article to your blog/website first. And then post your article to the article directories with links pointing back to the original article.

This tells Google that ALL roads lead back to the original source article on your blog.

According to Matt Cutts, you don't need to worry about duplicate content when syndicating your article across different directories. Press Releases and articles are syndicated daily to thousands of locations on the web with no penalty whatsoever.

In other words, if you're just submitting your article to your favorite top pick directories, then you don't need to spin them (for fear of duplicate content).

I use article marketing robot and love it , but I do not just submit my articles and hope for the best. Once my articles are submitted I gather all the live links and get them indexed as well as drive some link juice to them. To do this. I backlink my articles by using social bookmarking and Blog commenting.

I have used Unique Article Wizard to rank websites and get them to the top of the search engines in offline local niches. As far as I'm concerned it is the only tool that I will use. (I've also tried Article Submitter | Article Submission Service | Submit Your Article Now but frankly don't like it as much) as far as these backlinks being useless, I'm not so sure about that as if you write a really good article, people are going to want to re-publish it and it very well may just find its way to an authority site. As far as them not getting indexed, I can tell you that I know a little known way to make sure that every article gets indexed by google and I'm going to be putting together an article marketing video course as I've realized I've been keeping too much "stuff" to myself. That being said, I'll let you know as soon as its launched as it will be a WSO.

    Hope you found this helpful.

My advice is to hire a service from the WSO or warrior for hire section. They will use more than one software and there is a guarantee of your article being submitted. Plus they will submit to more than article directories most times.
