Lots of authority sites have this if they offer an on-site search. Notice how Google also gives the site its own mini-directory. Several authority sites are like this, where the inner pages with the most "link love" are listed in a directory underneath the main listing. Only for #1 spots, though. -Chris |

I wonder if they are using enterprise level Google search on their site as well? It's not cheap and I would think it would certainly help a bit in getting that ranking?

I have a few authority sites which have their own 'mini-directory' depending on what terms you search for. Maybe I should add a Google search box?

I'm assuming because it's over 1000 pages and over PR-5 and has an intergrated search feature. Louis |

Here is what Google says about these: "Sitelinks are additional links Google sometimes generates from site contents in order to help users navigate your site. Google generates these sitelinks periodically from your site's contents. Because we generate sitelinks dynamically, this list can change from time to time."

| Nope, I have a few sites with these sitelinks and they have less than 1000 pages and less than PR5. Google chooses to show sitelinks based on relevancy for the search term and a particular search result that has been indexed to include sitelinks on the site.

Wow, I've never seen that before. That certainly makes that site stand out. I'm perplexed, I wonder if we'll see more of this in the future. Why doesn't a search for "amazon" bring up their search box? Certainly they have more ranking then this company. Matt |

Although it is possible to get your site on the first page of Google in as little as 3 days (normally using video and article submission), it is possible that the site is using some black hat techniques. I would suggest watching the ranking of the site for 30 days. If you see a drop-off then they were probably using some black hat technique (most likely cloaking). I have found that the software SEOElite is a good tool for analyzing the rankings of your competitors. Dr. Jerome Nelson |
