WSO or Warrior for Hire?

One of my friends who does a lot of SEO is thinking about listing his service on this forum.

Are there any benefits of listing it in the WSO as opposed to the Warrior For Hire section?

More people will see it if he lists it as a WSO.

BUT, they might not all be looking for SEO services. I would recommend posting it in the Warrior For Hire section.

I would make a WSO. I've seen lot's of successful services in the WSO section. I would recommend that because there is much more people that will see your friend's service. But it's your choice, this is just my opinion and what I would've done.

It depends... in my perception, there's a few differences.

A WSO is a short-term offer or radical discount... an exclusive "50% off for Warriors until May 1st!" type deal.

A Warriors for Hire ad is more of a long-term thread that can keep going for years with little change in the services offered.

Of course, there's lots of long-term WSO's, but when I see someone listing a WSO, I think "quick" first.

Yeah, it's why I included the J/K "J"=Just/"K"=Kidding tag... Sorry if it upset you!

          It wasn't my purpose here,

  • In the WSO section, he'll get casual viewers. Those kind of people who might not think that they want SEO services, but who might act if the price is right.

That can be a good business move, but he'll have to make sure that he caters to that audience (they're very price sensitive).

Warriors For Hire is good for long-term advertising for clients who know what they want, and the investment fee is lower than a WSO. So, if it's a slow burn campaign, that can also work well. Personally, I'd go for the WSO as first choice, even if it needed to be run as a loss leader to collect longer term clients.

Why choose one over the other? Experiment.

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Stop thinking only about helping yourself achieve your goals, and start thinking helping others help you achieve your collective goals.

Money perhaps - and not having an infinite supply of it to test all these things off the bat?

My recommendation depends on if your friend is known or not - in other words, does he have a bunch of great testimonials?

If not, the best way to get traction is to run a WSO at an attractive price for either a limited time or limited number of customers. Then when that's run it's course, he'll have testimonials to use and that's when a Warrior for Hire ad is the way to go.

Yes, it will cost a bit more to do it that way but I believe it will start him off well here.

Since it is SEO it will be limited to a number of customers

When I am looking for a writer, and that is often, I look in Warriors for Hire and then send out test articles to those I am interested in. I'd never wade through the WSO forum to look for writers.

In addition, writers catch my attention by posting in the forum with their signature links. What better way to pass out writing samples than to post in the forum with authoritative and helpful responses.

I don't know the situation but I would FIRST offer a WSO, and offer some amazing deal.

Let it run for a few days/weeks even to generate interest and get buyers and testimonials.

Then close it up and run a Warrior For Hire, using the feedback you have received to help sell more.

I have an SEO thread in the warrior for hire section with over 30,000 views and over 1000 replies. I also ran a WSO which never caught on. I can tell you from this experience that the warrior for hire thread is a great long term asset to my business and is 50% cheaper than the WSO fee. I bump it 1-2 times per week and It is what brings in the clients over and over. A WSO would not be the same as it is more short term in my eyes. People in the WSO section are looking to make 1 million dollars by midnight while people that are looking for services to help their business go to the warrior for hire section. I think they are much different types of visitors.
