Name for a social networking company?

Hey everyone

I'm suffering from information overload trying to get my new Social Networking business up and running. I am very close to getting where I need to be but it's that time where I need to come up with a catchy name and slogan but my brain just won't give me anything. I'm hoping that there is a warrior out there who can throw an idea my way. I'm open to nearly anything.

Any suggestions??

Anybody?? I hate to bump the thread but I can't move forward until I come up with something that isn't already taken. Very frustrating. I'm basically looking to just build fan pages and market them for local businesses.

    Thank you in advance!

Since it's for local businesses, what's the name of your town or city? That might help.

If it connect with local business, then as said try to use the name of the area along with some simple words. Example interactusa, or usanetting etc.

I am from Boston, although I probably should've worded it differently. My target will be local businesses but I don't want to limit it to just those. Man I thought this would be the easy part but it is proving to be extremely time consuming and to tell you the truth, a headache. I just want to move on with everything else that I need to do but can't!! It may be time to call it a night and regroup in the morning...

Close your eyes for 10 minutes and think about it. Sometimes screens are too distracting.

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Stop thinking only about helping yourself achieve your goals, and start thinking helping others help you achieve your collective goals.

Just did some searching, I thought of some words and looked them up in latin since I thought it could turn into some creative short words. I found out that vislo is face in Latin and the domain name vislos.com is available, although it isn't correct Latin grammer for faces I thought it was a little catchy. Just try the method I used, translating English words into other languages that are relevant to your topic. You may also find these names catchy and the domain name also is much more likely to be available.

Do a contest for $50 and you'll get great ideas.

I'm scrapping my original reply as I see that you're selling facebook pages. I thought you were starting a social media firm based on your first post.

For what you're doing, I'd run a contest at 99designs.com.

@Always-A-Warrior, kudos for thinking of using a tool; that one your mentioned seems to be okay for coming up with domain names, but doesn't work as well for non-domains, i.e. company names. I liked your other suggestion, to run a contest. My ideas:

      1) Brainstorming Tool ... NameRazor an awesome tool (Windows software) to use when brainstorming ideas.

      2) Brainstorm ... with your friends

      3) Outsource .... Fiverr.com has many slogan/tagline creation gigs. (search for keyword "slogans" or "taglines") Some of the slogans gigs guys also offer naming services.

      4) Crowdsource ... ask 500 people at Ask500people.com They have free accounts by I suggest getting the cheapest paid acct in order to get your answers back quickly, and to have access to additional survey features.

Also on crowdsourcing... you could run a contest (as suggested by @Always-A-Warrior) on 99designs.com

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a Warrior named Bob. He was sad. And frustrated. You see, Warrior Bob spent every last nickel on Internet Marketing e-books. But nothing panned out. No traffic. No sales. He was one sad Bob. Then one day Bob found a bottle. He rubbed it and out came a Genie who granted him 3 wishes. For Wish #1 Bob asked for a pet Dragon. Wish Granted. For Wish #2, Bob wanted Warriors' websites seen by 53 million TV viewers, for under $5 per broadcast. The Genie said... (click here)

What I felt is already in your post! CATCHY or CATCHUP are good. Its better if you may search in PickyDomains.com for better options.

Yea, coming up with names suck. It sounds so easy but def is time consuming.
What I like to do is to check out brandbucket dot com, they sell a bunch of catchy 2.0 style domains, I never buy the domains tho, but I use it for ideas...it works well.
