Making Money By Writing Articles!

Hi,

Could someone please give me a brief introduction on how I could make money writing articles?

I know all about writing articles, keyword based ones, and I think I could provide a quality service if I only knew how to get started.

My wish is to earn about 10$ daily writing articles. Is this easy to accomplish? If so - how, and where to start?

Thank you warriors!

Zannix you can offer your services to write unique articles. You can do that by placing an ad in the Warriors for Hire section. Or you can write PLR and create your own PLR store.

Tiffany Dow and Peggy Baron both have good ebooks about how to create your own PLR store, if you want to go down that road it might be worth grabbing one of those and having a read.

Excellent suggestion. PLR writing would definitely be a good consideration.

Thank you for your replies, I appreciate them.

Frankly, I'm still a college student and I am even slightly intimidated by thinking I could earn much more than 300$ monthly

Maybe I am underestimating myself and the market, time will show.

Once you start earning more than $300 monthly, the intimidation will recede, I promise.

There are some good suggestions above - good luck!

Obviously you're educated and literate, and have writing skills - but bear in mind, in the long run, that the primary determinant of what you earn from writing articles is not your writing skills but your own marketing skills, because your income depends on the markets in which you choose to compete.

Thank you! - One more question though - There are only so much articles daily I can handle. If I post my service in the Warriors For Hire section, isn't there a chance of being overwhelmed by plenty requests for the service?

Bear in mind, I am not a company, I am a person with a little extra time (2-3 articles/day) :-)

There's a chance, especially if you good some good testimonials in the thread. It's not a tragedy, if it happens.

But still not a huge chance, because at the bottom end of the market, there are nearly as many service providers as customers!

This is a reason not to set your prices too low.

The classic mistake to avoid is imagining that it's sensible to start with low prices and then gradually increase them as you build up some customers. This is a fallacy. It just doesn't work that way. People who are attracted to the lowest-priced writers are attracted purely because of the price, and as soon as you try to increase the price, you'll just lose them all and be back to square one and starting all over again at a higher price which is where you ought to have started originally. And don't imagine that "the quality of your work will speak for itself", because that's fallacious, too: you are far more able to judge the quality of your work than your low-price clients are: it typically makes very little difference to them! :p

If you are only hoping to make $10/day, I suggest you advertise in Warriors For Hire. Offer a few free articles in return for feedback and you should have no difficulty getting work.

The problem is, beginning with such low aspirations, you will most likely find yourself permanently perceived as a low end provider and you will have great difficulty if you later hope to increase your fees. There are two levels of writers, those who charge peanuts for their work and those who charge 10, 15, 20 cents per word and often even more. Once you have established yourself as someone willing to work for peanuts, that's how you will be seen.

But having pointing that out, if $10/day is all you need, then go for it, the Warriors For Hire would certainly be my recommendation, good luck

Just reading your posts you seem to write well so I don't think you would have a problem making $10 a day writing articles.

You could offer a starting deal perhaps of $5 for a 500 word article for a persons first order. Then any subsequent orders by that person you could charge a higher price of $10 per article. If they are happy with your work they are most likely to order from you again. You will have some customers that take the $5 deal to get a good price and that's it, but you could also build up some loyal customers that are happy to pay more.

Some writers write for $1 per 100 words while others write for a lot more. I think it can be good to have a starting out deal as long as you let your customers know that it is a 'first time' deal and that your normal price is higher.

You could also spend your time writing and submitting articles on jogging to articles directories such as ezinearticles and get them to optin to your newsletter on your site or purchase the ebook.

But, in terms of writing articles as a service. You can write at top of your warrior ad something like "5 spots available" so that way you can restrict it and then you would put a post when you are filled up that people can pm you to get on waiting list. You can also put closed on top of your wso in first post when you get filled up.

Or you can put a link in your wf signature file that you write articles and send them to a blog post on your services and control the orders you get that way.

Yes, my jogging website is my major project, and I will continue working on it, but it's a kind of a long-term goal with higher potential benefit. This is also one of the main reasons I want to have fixed income while I'm working on improving it

Don't sell yourself short. If you only want to make $10 a day then charge $10 for a 500 word article. There are many people who will pay that once you get some testimonials and produce some results.

Check out writeswap.com if it hasn't been mentioned yet.

And what's the deal with payments? I suppose paypal is a standard option? Does one pay upon the delivery of articles or prior to?

          Thanks again

    Hi zannix.
If your articles are unique and they are quality you can start your job to Warriors For Hire. Another alternative is Fiverr (place where everything is $ 5). If you have 2-3 orders per day, you meet the target of $ 10 per day. In addition you can try both methods at the same time to earn as much. Good luck !

Regarding payments, it depends on where you're advertising your "unique article" writing service.

If you advertise in the Warriors for Hire section (I think you need to pay $20 to post a thread there), PayPal is the best option.

Some people have a group of writers so they have PayPal order buttons to specify how many articles they want to buy, etc.
Since you are just one individual, you can send Paypal invoices to your customers after article delivery or you can arrange for payment first before starting to write. Whichever way, just try to protect yourself. Beware of scammers. Build a relationship with your clients as they will likely to hire you for more writing gigs in the future if they like your work.

Prior to offering your service, be sure you have a sample article so prospective clients can gauge the quality of your writing.

    Hope this helps

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.
